This restaurant was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. In the "middle of nowhere" next to the NP we found this place with outstanding food which was innovative and attractively presented. The beautiful flower garden made for a beautiful setting for outdoor dining in the very pleasant summer evening. Our server was Angie and she really enhanced our experience. We were so impressed that we returned the following night, although there are other choices in Torrey. The wine list was particularly interesting and reasonable. When visiting Torrey this restaurant should not be missed and ask for Angie!

Lovely outside area surrounded by a herb garden. Rattlesnake fritters, trout, all excellent. The complementary hummus was probably not needed as we were too full to avail of the dessert menu, which all looked amazing. Presentation of food and service were top notch.

Great dishes. Unique flavor pairings. Appealing presentation. Great atmosphere with indoor and ourdoor options. Kid menu looks appealing but flavors maybe too sophisticated for some young palettes.

The best part of this place is sitting outside under the trees. The menu may be creative, but it's quite limited. The food looks prettier than it tastes.

I ordered steak lettuce wraps which came with two small chunks of steak on top. The big lettuce leaves were fibrous and not very fresh, and the stuff inside was too dry; it needed some kind of sauce. It was awkward to eat because of the presentation.

The salads that came with the meals were pretty but again they were awkward to eat because they were wrapped in cucumber which was more visual than edible.

There were no non-dairy dessert choices--everything was heavy creamy desserts.

I feel like the place has style but that it sacrifices taste. The food we had was not satisfying.

Great food, although a little on the expensive side as it wasn't that great. Very attentive service, although they need to work on this as one woman was wandering about making sure everyone was ok while the waiting staff three knives, water, plates and cocktails at people. Our waiter was leaning over our food plates to collect empty glasses, dropped a knife on my partners lap and threw water over a lady on the table next to us. A little clumsy... but he meant well - a nice bloke... entertaining...
