We are full-time RV's and enjoy eating out throughout the West. The Ribeye was very generous, thick and well trimmed. It was one of the best, and most tender steaks I have had in a long time.

The roasted garlic bourbon demi-sauce was just right and did not overpower meat’s flavor.
Along with a nice dinner salad, sides and a glass of wine, a perfect meal in a great dining atmosphere. I hope yours is just a great.

Unfortunately, Sheila felt her Seasonal Mixed Grill was just OK, nothing exceptional.

We will return and try out some other items (though it will be very hard for me to pass on the Ribeye!)

Several excellent chefs want to live in this beautiful red rock environment and so two restaurants in Torrey serve food that would be well-regarded in major cities. Their food cannot be compared with just typical fare anywhere.

The owner greeted us at the door and was very effervescent which carried over to the wait staff. They have a full bar here (which you don't always expect in Utah) and the food was great with an extensive borderline fine dinning/western mix . The views at sunset were just beautiful with lots of windows. Modified western theme of layout adds to ambience. Note that there two restaurants here, with the one nearer the highway being more of a pizza/pub place that is part of the same motel complex. You want the one nearest the cliff.

You will generally have great views in Torrey and the window tables here provide it in spades. Make sure to go out on the deck to take pictures if you are here before sunset. Torrey is a small town so there are not many restaurants. We had reserved far in advance [we always do this for our road trips] for a mid-May dinner, asking for a window with a view table and that is what we got. Plain, but good, food. Good service.

This is a good local restaurant. We were passing through on a road trip & were given a recommendation to try Cafe Diablo. When we got there, they had a broken water line and were closed. They gave us two recommendations including Rick Rock.

The place has a gorgeous view. I ordered the steak, medium rare & they delivered it as ordered. It was delicious, if not just a tad over-priced.

My wife wanted some mustard to go with her burger and oddly enough, had to wait for quite a long time. When the waitress returned, she indicated the chef wouldn't let her get it & that she had to wait for the chef to get it. I know chefs can be protective of their kitchens, but come on guys, that's a little crazy.

One of the reasons we ate at this location and not the 1st recommendation, was because this place claimed to have wireless and the other place didn't. Well, they do have wireless internet, but is pretty non-functional. I walked up and down the hotel to try to get service & found they had another modem near the front. It was a little better, but not much.
