We stayed here whilst touring Capitol Reef and it proved to be a very good choice. The hotel is really friendly with the staff making sure things are right, e.g. making sure the hot tub is good and hot.

We had a room facing the rear of the property and we slept really well during our nights here.

Breakfast is a bit "Best Western" in concept but not quite as good. Having said that it kept us nice and full until lunchtime.

We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves during our stay and both were clean and with a good supply of pool towels.

if touring the area again we would definitely stay at the Red Sands, very good value for money and a very friendly little hotel

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the rear of the property

We stayed one night in the Red Sands Hotel in May and were pleased to find it so comfortable, clean and quiet. It is a non-smoking facility, and guest parking is free.

Our second floor room was very modern, nicely furnished, and had a comfortable bed, good blackout curtains, a TV, microwave and fridge. There was no coffee maker but you could use one in the breakfast room 24 hours. The large bathroom was spotless, with a full tub/shower combination, quality towels, and nice little details like the carefully arranged shower curtain and complimentary shampoo, hair conditioner and lotion. There was no elevator or restaurant. We found the air conditioner somewhat noisy.

The large breakfast room had tablecloths on all the tables, and the ample breakfast buffet offered hard boiled eggs, waffles, a big bowl of canned fruit salad, several cold cereals, oatmeal, bagels, toast, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

The receptionist when we arrived was rather offhand, and seemed more interested in watching the TV in a corner of the lobby than welcoming guests.

With an AAA discount this hotel was quite inexpensive, and an ideal choice for visiting Capitol Reef, and we would happily stay there again.

Out of our entire southern Utah trip, this hotel was the very best, hands down. Large room, very comfortable beds, very clean, accomodating staff all combined to make a pleasurable stay. We would go back to this location anytime.
There was some mix-up with our reservation, which the manager immediately took care of, and did it very pleasantly.
It was very cold and snowy on arrival and we are older folks and had to take an upstairs room because of the reservation mix-up. The manager got her husband and brother, and they grabbed our luggage and took it up to the room for us. This is beyond the expected service.

Room Tip: Don't stay anywhere else in Torrey

We loved our stay. Location is perfect for adventure, right in the middle of it all. We went to Escalante, Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, Calf Creek Falls, and Boulder. We had teenagers and small kids with us and everyone enjoyed it. Pool is nice, clean, and fun! Breakfast was better than expected and saved us TONS of money....the restaurants in town are pricey. It was also so nice to have a fridge in the room to keep our snacks and drinks. Rooms were clean. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We were extremely pleased!! It was so nice and relaxing we want to go back soon. Kids are asking to go back too!!
