“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Had breakfast here on April 16th. Great coffee and breakfast foods. Very fast and friendly.

Small restaurant, but adequate for the crowd. Food tasted fresh and there was a great selection. We bought some gingerbread for the road which was a great treat.

“Amazing customer service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

We were traveling through Torrey on our way from Bryce Canyon to Moab and Arches National Park at lunch time and stopped here. What a great find! The cases are filled with mouth-watering chocolates, but we ordered yummy sandwiches made to order instead, and I had a delicious cup of chicken with wild rice soup. There are a few tables set up outside, so it was delightful to eat out after being in the car. My husband accidentally left his brand new carrying case containing glasses, a cell phone, an iPad and a Kindle. We didn't realize this until hours later once we'd unpacked the car in Moab. Much to our pleasant surprise, when I called the restaurant, I was told by Scott that it was found and was safely tucked behind the counter. He sent it back to us, and we couldn't be more pleased with that level of honesty and service. We highly recommend you stop at CastleRock for lunch or dessert!

“excellent coffee and good breakfast in Torrey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Torrey, gateway to Capitol Reef National Park, is a very small town with few dining choices. (I've not yet been here when Café Diablo is open, and they don't do breakfast anyway). Coffee at my hotel is awful; I was pleased to have found Castlerock Coffee and Candy on my last visit in Oct 2009. My family and I came here every morning on our March 2013 visit.

Their name says "coffee and candy" but they also offer a good breakfast -- eggs, omelets, etc. -- made to order. The coffee is excellent. Neither my son, wife nor I tried the candy -- though it was tempting. All in all I think this place would do well in the Bay area as an independent neighborhood coffee shop, so it's amazing to find it in Torrey.

“Nice coffee shop, great caramels”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We dropped up here the morning after our stay at Cowboy Homestead Cabins. The owner was there and an assistant. The coffee was quite good, and they made a nice breakfast sandwich. They also make their own chocolates and caramels. We bought both. The caramels were excellent - rich and just the right texture. The chocolates are large. They have a wide range of chocolate bars in weird flavours - like juniper berry, garam masala, lime, and grapefruit. We haven't tried those yet. It's nice to see a quality little shop in an incredible countryside.

Love the coffee, some of the best in town. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes you get to meet locals here and they are friendly and informative.
