I've been coming to the Outer Banks just about all my 45 years and I've been eating faithfully at Darrell's for about the last 20 of them. Darrell's is not about pretense, if you are looking for high dollar cuisine and overpriced wine this is not your place. They do offer very fresh, local seafood in season. Some of it's fried, some of it's broiled but all of it's good, and it is very reasonbly priced. They have a killer she crab soup and hush puppies too. It may not be everyone's favorite, but after having tried many, many restaurants from Corolla to Hatteras, Darrell's is truly one of my very favorites. Don't try to eat there on Sunday though, you will find an empty parking lot.
