We loved our stay at the Inn. We will definitely be back. The stay brought us back to a simpler way of life and made us wonder why we always feel we need more, when enough is just right!

The Innkeeper, Rebecca, was get nice and responsive. The room was charming, quaint, clean, cozy, comfortable, private, and unique. We were very pleased to find this spot in Manteo and cannot wait to plan our next visit.

We saw the extraordinary Lost Colony during this stay. Definitely recommended. We have previously visited the Elizabethan Gardens (recommended especially during the spring). Also, check out Big Al's Soda Fountain and Full Moon Brewery!

Everyone should be aware that are TWO Scarborough Inns...the one near the waterfront is the Scarborough House Inn (more of a B&B), the other is the Scarborough Inn and is on highway 64 (a motel). The motel is owned by the daughter in law of the B&B owner. We thought we were staying at the B&B but when we went to check in we were told we were at the motel. We cancelled our reservations and stayed at the wonderful Roanoke Island Inn instead and it was perfect.

If you don't want to spend a lot on a hotel in Nags Head, consider staying at this inn in Manteo. It's right across from what used to be the Weeping Radish (relocated to Rt. 168) and the Christmas shop, and Nags Head is only about 10 minutes away. There are also nice shops and restaurants on the Manteo waterfront, and the aquarium is not too far. As for the hotel, our room was larger than expected with nice furnishings and a shared balcony with seating. You won't get a lot of amenities with this hotel, but if you're more concerned about being in a quiet location without spending a lot of money, check this place out.

An excellent value. This romantic inn is a real OBX find. Nicely located near one the the best OBX restaurants, and with a nice family restaurant across the street, its location is a plus. Room #16 is a romantic hide away. Rebbecca the proprietor is very pleasant.

Several family members and I traveled to Manteo and stayed at the Scarborough Inn the week before Christmas to attend my niece’s wedding. Everything about the trip was delightful, including this wonderful little inn. My room was charming, unique, comfortable, and clean. Rebecca, the co-owner, was very responsive to my questions, friendly, and knowledgeable about the town. I look forward to going back – often.

The Inn’s only (minor) drawback – or at least it’s a drawback during the off-season – is the front desk’s limited hours. However, as Rebecca does it all – reservations, front desk, cleaning – it’s understandable that she can’t have 24-hour service. She did, however, make every effort to work around my late-arrival.
