The only reason I am rating this place "poor" and not "terrible" is that, technically speaking, my husband and I did not actually taste the food here. We stopped by for lunch on the first day of our Outer Banks vacation and were initially confused as to where to go because the bar is the first area we encountered and it appeared to be open. There was another couple standing there but when no one came to wait on them they went on into the back of the restaurant and we followed them. We all got into line behind two other people who were waiting at the counter. When the couple who had been waiting at the bar got to the counter the man asked (politely) why no one had been in the bar to wait on them. The girl behind the counter snapped, "The bar doesn't open til 5!" After the couple placed their order, my husband and I were next. Before we could open our mouths she looks at us with the most sour expression imaginable and tells us we have "jumped the line" and she will not take our order until we get in line in the right area. By this time, two other couples had come in and were waiting in the "correct" area. Both couples assured the counter girl that my husband and I were the next to be waited on. Despite that, she still refused to either look at us or take our order. My husband said, "let's just go somewhere else" so we walked across the street to the Full Moon Cafe and had a delicious lunch with a MUCH friendlier staff.
This place seemed fairly busy so maybe they're not all that worried about good customer service. All I know is, my husband and I travel and eat out a lot and I can't remember the last time we were treated that rudely! We will not be back.
