“A Taste of Little Italy in the OBX!!”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

This place has such amazing and authentic Italian food! The atmosphere is wonderful with a great live piano player on Friday and Saturday nights. Loved when she played "The Godfather" theme song! The waitstaff and owner all have vibrant and welcoming personalities that make you feel like you are dining right in Italy! What a hidden gem in such a small southern town! Pizza was huge with a perfect NY style hand-tossed crust and fresh basil on top. All of the pasta dishes we've tried have been amazing and the seafood tastes fresh and wonderful. I don't know what the reviewer above was talking about with a $25 pizza...I'm looking at their takeout menu right now and a plain pizza is $12. The most expensive on the list says it has shrimp, mussels, tuna, AND calamari, and it's just $23. (And the Tiramasu complainer lady needs to get a life!)

“Excellent Pizza”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

We were impressed by the flavor of the pizza we ordered while visiting OBX. Normally it's hard to find pizza close to NY quality outside the Tri-state area, however this place did a great job. The service was excellent and the ambience nice. The size of the pie was a little small and the cost was average.

“My mouth waters just thinking about their red sauce”
Reviewed February 28, 2012

I've been a regular since they opened. Food is consistently excellent. Service is always great. I'm addicted to their red sauce and I've never even liked red sauce before! Never had a single thing that wasn't amazing. Pizza is on par with being in NYC. A little hidden gem in Manteo - definitely worth driving out of downtown and seeking out. Located in the Elizabethan Inn hotel but definitely don't judge this book by its cover - this is not a typical hotel restaurant.

“This would be a great Italian Restaurant Anywhere!”
Reviewed February 11, 2012

We've been here several times now and not only is this the best Italian Restaurant on the Outer Banks... it would have lines out the door in NY or Chicago! All the sauce & pasta is fresh & home made. The pizza is wonderful, thin and tasty and with fresh mozarella. The antipasto & traditional southern Italian specialties in red sauce are all excellent, but if you like more northern Italian cooking you can't go wrong either...the Veal Marsala is out of this world. This restaurant is modestly priced and casual but the wait staff is friendly and efficient and there is even live piano music on the weekend. The owners & chef are all from Italy and they always make sure you are happy. Save room for the tiramisu and cannolis.
