This was our second time, last year being our first. Last year was fun, our 8 y.o. son had a good time and the crew was energetic. This year, the crew seemed tired and I heard the "captain" say they do this 5 times a day, throughout the week. So I can understand that. But if that is what you do, you need to dig deep and maintain character. I know we will not be back because our son will no longer enjoy it, but would recommend for ages 5-8.

This was a blast. Interactive, fun, and attention grabbing throughout! We had four families and as the adults we loved watching our children ( ages 5-10) interact with the staff. It was more fun than Disney's Pirates of the Carribean.

They advertise that their "target audience" is for kids ages 3-10 and I agree with that. In fact, I would probably say 3-9. We had a 10 year old with us and, while she participated, she made the comment that "this is for little kids." But our kids were ages 4 and 5 and they LOVED it! We arrived 30 minutes before departure and they did face/arm painting and let the kids pick out a pirate vest to wear while on the boat. Then they taught them "pirate lingo" such as "Ahoy" and such before boarding the boat. We were out in the water for a little over an hour and the two staff members on board kept the kids entertained the ENTIRE time looking for pirate treasure, finding a treasure map, shooting water cannons, etc. A very fun thing to do if you have young children. Cost: $20 per person / $12 for kids under 3

This "pirate adventure" is a wonderful, fun experience for kids! They dress the kids up like pirates, give them pirate names, and paint their faces. On the boat, they read a treasure map, shoot (water cannons) bad pirates, find a treasure, and even enjoy some "grog". The workers are enthusiastic and work hard to make sure all the kids are involved and having a good time. I would suggest this outing for anyone with kids aged 3-10. Older kids may like it too, depending on their personality, interests, and imagination.

We went on this "cruise" on Father's Day and it was a good time. We had four kids in our group ages 2, 6, 7, & 8. 2 was a little young, 8 was a smidgen old (he had fun, but wasn't buying into the story the way the 6 & 7 year olds were). This wasn't a big boat ride, you only go around in big circles in the harbor hitting different points in the story line, but the kids seemed oblivious to that. I was really impressed with the ways that the workers used the story line to keep the kids engaged and safe the whole time. Everything from crossing the street to docking safely was written into the story without the kids really figuring out it was more about keeping them safe. There was a soundtrack playing that was perfectly coordinated to the whole performance that was often funny. If you have little ones, I'd really recommend this . It was a highlight of our two weeks at the beach. Oh- but a head's up. The public bathrooms that were available before we left were definitely dodgy- go before you go!
