My wife and I lucked upon this bay front restaurant. popular and lots of diners. We each had soup, but the 'piece d' resistance' was the lobster salad! Having eaten lobster daily in the area, I believe there was about as much lobster meat as one gets in a 1 1/4 lb lobster-all claw, but in a salad format, who cares. we shared this monster-could have shared with 1-2 more diners-it was huge--and fresh beyond one's highest hope. Skip the fish and chips and ordinary fare-at $20. this salad towers above the ordinary stuff and is a real bargain, Cape Cod wise.

Felt very rushed, because they wanted quick turn-over on tables. No smiles from staff! Even the meeter and greeter could not raise a smile. Soups quite good. Mains on the expensive side

On our recent visit to Cape Cod, we visited three restaurants. This was the best of the three. It's on Cape Cod, so it's not cheap, but the Cod platter I ordered was $19.00 and my wife's Wings and French onion soup came to $14.00. They also have two stouts on tap (a pleasant surprise). The cod platter was excellent with a huge slab of perfectly cooked fish, a pile of rice pilaf, and a nice little crock of butternut squash. The French Onion soup tasted homemade, and the wings were a good size. Then there's the view across the harbor. The fishing boats were coming and going and the sun glistened along the water. The service was also excellent.

Let me count the ways to enjoy oysters: raw, fried, poor boy sandwiches, oyster stew -- the list goes on and on. Wellfleet oysters have a well-deserved reputation as among the most succulent on the planet and this little "no-frills" spot serves them up to hundreds of happy customers every day! Be sure to try the oyster stew -- it is as good or better than any you would get in a 5-star restaurant! If someone in your party isn't crazy about oysters (what a shame!), don't worry, they have lots of other seafood choices!

We enjoyed lunch there yesterday...we've been here many times over the years. My husband loves the oysters and I love the lobster salad (both are pricey). Guinness on tap is also a real plus. When the weather allows we enjoy sitting outside, upstairs with the water views of Cape Cod Bay. OK service, simple food in a very casual setting with local atmosphere.
