Description: A dining experience at Winslow's begins with a warm greeting from Tracey Barry Hunt, the General Manager who oversees "the front of the house." A former documentary television producer and director, Tracey loves speaking with guests and sharing local knowledge about her favorite spots on the Cape. Winslow's menu and wine list are created by South African born Chef, Phillip Hunt, Tracey's husband. Phillip is always happy to share his passion and vast knowledge of wine with guests interested in recommendations and food pairings. On any given day Tracey and Phillip's two young sons, Hunter and Romanee (our grill and saute cooks for the 2020 season!) may also make an appearance at Winslow's to pick some herbs for Dad or entertain the staff and guests with Mom.

A service with a smile. We had one of our best meals here. We shared the broiled cod fish and nicoise tuna salad, which were both good! The oyster happy hour is much recommended as the oysters are so fresh and nicely priced! And you can order as many amount you want, as few as just one. On the slightly negative side, we were bitten alive by mosquitoes. So our advice, dine inside during dinner! The restaurant should do something about these pests e.g. provide insect repellent or burn citronella oil, etc.

We've travelled up & down Cape, have a summer home in So. Harwich, have eaten at many restaurants. By far, Winslows has been consistently one of the best. Make it a point to stop back every year. Food is always fresh, drinks are great, comfortable atmosphere, great service, owners are kind and welcoming. Well worth the trip.

This restaurant is in a stunning home, with the dining room downstairs and the bar upstairs.
Tracey the owner is as friendly as they come. Wonderful menu, great food, and a nicely diversified wine list.

The beginning of the season at the Cape is often rocky what with the new itinerant , cooks, waiters, etc.. However, the dinner last night was a bit beyond the pale. We sat in the back garden, beautiful but buggy. They give you bug spray on the table but the mutant insects seem to have modified beyond caring about that.. 45 minutes after arriving, there was still no bread or order taken. What were the specials anyway? . Our diminutive waitperson had run off after lighting the lumieres. Apparently, it was a harrowing night. After telling a staff person that things were not going well, they sent in the Mary Poppins of wait persons, Jame.JAMIE. However, by then the bread and the specials had run out.
The food was competent-liked the gazpacho and chowder a lot. But while we were waiting without bread to sop up the sauces, oil, etc., it would have been nice to have a complementary glas of wine, appetizer or anything . Diners like to be acknowledged when things are frustrating.. Or even a word from management would have gone a long way to allay frustration. Still. we are the tourists so perhaps there is not management concern about the return trade. Still, it was disapointing for the price so I would stick with the fabulous Blackfish until they iron out their flow problems Certainly, wait until later in the season when they figure out how to handle the crowds

We ate as a group of 7 a few days ago. The service was attentive, but there were a lot of mistakes in the drinks (4 of 7 without the proper ingredients). The food itself ranged from good to OK. I had the prix fixe pork special. The appetizer (scallops and sausage) was great, but the pork special was very bland. The pear/gorgonzola/hazelnut salad was also pretty bland; the dressing just did not much have flavor. It's early in the season on the Cape, so I might give them another try. Overall, it was by no means a disaster, but, given the prices, I expected better.
