Description: Closed for the winter. See you May 2017 When we first opened Moby Dick’s in ‘83, we had no idea we’d become an establishment on Cape Cod. We simply wanted to start a BYOB restaurant that had fresh seafood, a relaxed environment, and a friendly staff that would make people feel at home. Well, three decades later, we’re still doing exactly that, opening every season in May to the delight of locals and visitors alike. Some people stop in for our lobster rolls while others come for an old-fashioned bucket of steamers. But everyone knows they can come to us for fresh family fun and a dining experience in Wellfleet they'll never forget.

We went here for the first time the last week of June...my very picky friend said we needed to try these...I never knew she would even try these....well, we did and they were fabulous!!!!

Went back again this week ( twice jow) and OMG....what a fabulous place!

Probably the best Lobster roll I've ever had....and cinnamon ice cream to die for....

Do not look at the outside...enjoy!!!! And bring your own wine or beer..definitely coming back multiple times during our stays.....

This is always our first stop before arriving in Provincetown as it is right on Route 6 in Wellfleet. This is entirely a fish menu, very casual, very fresh. My fried shrimp were a welcome change to the usual battered fish. We will be back.

We have been dinning on the outer cape for 20 years.. We don't always go to all our favorite restaurants, but we always go to Moby Dicks. Moby Dicks is a family tradition going on 15 years now. The food is always fresh and service excellent. Moby Dicks has great in-season (Stripe Bass), the grilled shrimp & scallops are delicious, as are the steamers, and seafood platters.. I've had just about everything on the menu here, it is all very good.. Never disapointed at Moby Dicks... FYI, don't let the long lines scare you away, it moves along at a good pace and you will be dinning before you know it.

Ambiance - its a different setup, you order like a fast food place, then they bring the food to you. Its busy, charming and very Cape Cod esque.

Service - probably the only downfall, it was so hectic the service was slightly off but nothing worth talking more about.

Cost - cost was actually quite reasonable for the freshness! We were not complaining. 2 adults, 3 kids no apps came to about 65$ with tip.

Location - easy to find, major road.. Parking was plentiful.

Food - wow, thats all i can say. It may simply be the freshness but foot was outstanding.

I will come here again and again... Very much worth the trip. Only parting words, bathrooms are limited and there is always a line.

They get it right year after year with excellent fresh seafood, prompt friendly service and a bring your own wine and beer policy. If you don't have children, go after 8:30 when the line is short and the noise level subdued. Otherwise be prepared to wait in line and it's worth it. Sit inside with kitchy Cape decor or on a screened in deck with a dependable breeze.
