Dirty and uncomfortable, in great need of a complete makeover in food, service and furnishings.
A bit rundown and uncaring, tired customer service with lackluster just about everything.
Our hungry family waited over half an hour for a pizza and when we inquired about how much longer, we were told it had yet to be baked. The food is not worth the wait. Inside it was very hot, crowded and smoky (burning pizza?).
Overflowing trash can outside by the patio, tables/benches were dilapidated and disgusting. We were treated poorly when asking for a dish rag to clean our table (which was filthy), where utensils were and how much longer for our pizza. Like we were bothering them simply asking for essentials.
Get it together here and maybe it'll make for an overall more pleasant experience.
Really we were so sorry to have bothered to have dined here.
We promise we won't bother you again in the future.

Wellfleet Town Pizza is a family owned establishment with fresh ingredients and great pizza. The quaint little place is decorated with local aristry including the owner's handmade bass guitars. You can tell a lot of love and pride is put into the place. Definitely a place to stop in when you are on the cape.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for very casual dining. Seated in the restaurant’s backyard, we enjoyed the idyllic views of Duck Creek and a couple cold beers while we waited for our lunch. I would not recommend sitting inside because the area is fairly small, dark and can get hot (I don’t think there’s a/c). The meatballs subs and slices of cheese pizza came quickly (about 8 minute wait tops). However the full pizza took 45-55 minutes to get to our table – so service on pizzas is a bit slow. The meatball subs were large and very good. The pizzas we ordered were excellent – thin crusted and well worth the wait. We ordered 2 pizzas: 1 Bulldog (all meat piled on) and 1 Shrimp & Pesto (with added jalapenos). On a beautiful day with no rush to stick to a schedule, this is a good casual place to grab some good beer, excellent pizza with a pretty nature-rich backdrop to past the time– all at a very reasonable price. It can be a rather long wait for pizza so this isn’t the place for you if you’re in a hurry.

Two Friday nights at Wellfleet Pizza were enough to gain a full appreciation of a restaurant that needs a lot of improvement. Dim, dank and delapidated are the best words to describe my first impression of the place. With an antique pizza oven in one corner and a make shift counter attached, the Town Pizza embraces its customers with a feeling of being one of a tightly knit family. The chalkboards provide the full array of fililngs and toppings as well as a short list of drinks. The "hostess" promises a pie out in 40 minutes, but don't be surprised if it comes out in an hour. The key here is walk-in orders take a second place to call-in. You have to become an advocate for your pizza if you ever plan to exit with one in a box. The good news -- the back door opens out onto the cove which is delightful (when the tide is in) on even a sultry summer evening. The pizza is tasty but needs to be cooked more evenly -- crusty throughout rather than blackened on the outside and doughy in the center. There is plenty of cheese but it slides off the inner circle into a large, gooey mess. The owners have expanded their menu with a burrito station, which is still a bit of an experimental lab with a new cook at work. This is a disappointment for a town that needs an excellent pizza place to fill out its seafood restaurant array. The owners need to step back from their very busy place to recognize how to take their place to the next level. They have a way to go.

The atmosphere at Wellfleet Town Pizza is one that we are very proud to own. We showcase local artists on our walls, and local business card signs that hang from our ceilings. Everything in the shop down to the counter was made by my partner Briton Luhmann by hand, he also makes the guitars that hang on the walls. We are very proud to have been able to expand our restaurant this summer, to add a burrito bar, which by all of the positive feedback we have received from our customers, is going very well. We also understand that not everyone is going to like our pizza, but again we have won numerous awards for best pizza since we opened 6 years ago. We are very serious when it comes to whats important, and it should be about the food, always been our motto. Satisfaction guarantee, or your money back.

Thin crust, really good pizza in a funky/quirky small spot with outdoor tables overlooking the harbor. We come here often. Watch hours as it closes early - call ahead.
