“fresh food”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We've been to the Pearl on a couple of occasions. As usual for the Cape service is spotty, but it is friendly. The location is nice right on the wharf, but sometimes traffic can be a little bit hectic since the road curves, there are multiple parking areas and people can be all over depending on the day. Just keep an eye out when you are driving and walking.

They have a large bar area. Decent beer selection, some wines and the usual cocktails. On this trip I was drinking Dark and Stormys, theirs was ok. (the best one I had was at the Squealing Pig in Provincetown).

Foodwise, oysters very fresh. (They had better be, considering their location!). Chowders are consistently good. This trip I had the scallops with the veg of the day and roasted red potatoes. The scallops were also very fresh, no iodine taste and prepared well. The veggies also fresh, prepared simply and not mushy. The potatoes were nicely done, whole with skin on. Ceasar salad was ok, nothing to write home about, but not bad either.

Solid food - nothing fantastic, but good food. A tad bit pricey, but most restaurants are there, so that's just a given. We left satisfied.

“Food OK-but nothing to write home about”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Easy to find, decent casual Cape Cod atmosphere. Food really wasn't anything special. The fried clams were ok., but the french fries were a bit soggy.
The staff, however, were great and the Martini I had was fine.

“Great lobster rolls”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Loved everything we ate this visit, and we ate a lot! Great raw bar, friendly service, just an easy, laid back place for lunch or dinner.

“Great drink, less-than-stellar service”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

I went here for lunch with a friend. I had the special drink, a Pear Basil Sipper. It was cool and refreshing, just as our server advertised. My friend ordered the crab cake, which was good, and I ordered the lobster roll. I asked if the roll was grilled and was told no, they did not have "the facilities" to do this. The server offered to see if the roll could be toasted so I ordered it. So when delivered, not only was the roll not toasted, it was ice cold. When questioned the server said she "must have forgotten to toast" the roll. No apology. Now they make burgers and crab cakes there, so what kind of "facilities" does it take to grill or toast the bun? Or at least take them out of the fridge in advance. This ruined an otherwise lovely meal in a pleasant setting.
