We stayed here as a base for Monument Valley for the first night and then onto Williams after the second night.

The hotel is very modern with a small shop with gifts and basic essentials such as drinks and food. There is an eating area that does meals.

We had breakfast and one evening meal in the hotel restaurant which were both excellent. I can recommend the Slider Treo for breakfast (photo added), this will keep you going for some time when you're out and about.

The staff are all polite and friendly.

There isn't a lot to do in Chinle and the town seems to close down by about 10pm. We ate in the Denny's restaurant which is about 2 miles down the road on the first night. The food was ok but it lacked any atmosphere and the servers weren't very attentive. As this is in the Navajo reservation no alcohol is allowed.

I'd also recommend Monument Valley which is about 90 miles north of Chinle but works out about a 220 mile round trip if your coming back to the town.

Very close to Canyon de chelly. Front desk staff is very friendly and efficient. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was very good and service quick even though it was busy. Our room was very clean and roomy. Night was quiet. Would stay there again for sure.

Nice clean hotel from check in to check out, I think that since this is a destination for the Canyon De Chelle tours etc of the beautiful scenery they need a place that holds information of sights and things to be seen in there little town. They do not offer anything but a 1 page here is a list of tour operators. There should be restuarants etc and what all there is to be seen, just my opinion. The mini fridge is located in a horrible spot right next to the bed, so when you get out of bed at night you walk into it, when there is a place on the other side of the wall for it, spend the money re locacte the fridge, crazy place for it, all in all a great place, very comfy bed and I loved the pillow exchange option as well.

Room tip: Use the pillow exchange option, the ground floors have sliding glass doors that open which is nice for reloading the car.

This is a great place to ride a bike. No big trucks....thank goodness. Nothing like a big rig 5 feet from your back tire. The Holiday Inn was very nice. Friendly staff and also a great restaurant. Would stay again. If you are passing thru the area, I would stay here.

Best Motel in the Chinle area ! LOVED the food at their restaurant ! Nice and Quiet room. Air conditioning in the room worked great ! Very courteous and professional staff ! Close to gas and other restaurants ! Close to Canyon De Chelly ! Canyon De Chelly has been one of the Most Beautiful Parks on my trip. Favorite overlooks are tunnel, tsegi and the Best was Junction Overlook ! If i return to Chinle, i will use this motel and eat their awesome food at their restaurant again !
