Walking down the steps carved into the rockface, you will be amazed by the way the rock looks. Bring water with you so that you can stop and take a breath because it sure gets hot fast (even in the morning). Those who are unable to use the stairs can still enjoy the dwellings if they take a tour that drives you down into the canyon. If you come here early enough, you will be able to hear the echo of people setting up to seel their beautifully crafted artwork and jewelry as if coming from the dwellings in the rock wall. It is a haunting and amazing experience to hear the voices bounce off the wall and imagine that people used to live down in the canyon. Enjoy the thistle flowers on the way back up the canyon. Each pull off to see more ancient dwellings is just as wonderful as the last. Definitely a must-see!
