We drove up to this place on the recommendation of the Receptionist at the Titusville KSC Fairfield Inn & Suites. her recommendation was not disappointing.

Racks of ribs and prime rib beef, with all the trimmings.

A good-value evening - the bill for the two of us came to USD$47.27 and the evening passed quickly, surrounded by (local?) American families who were also enjoying their evenings.
Mike

Okay this is not the first time I have dined here; but it had been a long , long while. We do not make it to Titusville very often; but when we do travel through the area by the way of I-95.. we make a point to make this restaurant a Destination! It is worth the 10 minute detour off the main highway to visit and experience the best ever seafood! When you stop; you will witness relics from NASA's past. Many folks have made this restaurant their home kitchen while visiting Kennedy Space Center for one of the famous launches.

This is the only place to get rock shrimp and fritters like they make. One time we visited and they didn't have the rock shrimp, so we always call ahead to be sure they are available. The temperature is freezing, so take a jacket. Portions of rock shrimp seem small for the price, but since they are the only place you can get them, you have to just enjoy and pay.

Friends recommended this restaurant to us, and we were not disappointed! We are from the Midwest, and love the opportunity to enjoy fresh well-prepared seafood. We tried both the broiled rock shrimp and the broiled royal red shrimp - two very different tastes, and both were wonderful. Service was good and we had a delicious meal. Be sure to get some of the free fish food from the dispenser and toss it to the hungry turtles and fish in the little lagoon outside,

When driving around of Titusville after rocket launch we got hungry ofcourse. I pulled out my Nokia Windows phone (as Finn I am) and TripAdvisor. Browsed through restaurants near by and Dixie Crossroads was reviewed the best and very close of us. So, we drove there.

Entrance of this restaurant is something we haven´t ever seen. Turtles and fishes everywhere in a pond under the bridge to the door. And you can feed them too! Great thing!

After entering restaurant it didn´t look very much as reviews made us to expect but we just thought it is Floridan style. We were guided to free table and all tables were with long wooden chairs and so on.

We ordered lobster and full rack of BBQ ribs. When they arrived, we knew that we made a right thing :)

After having a meal my partner told that it was her best lobster in life. And she is truly seafood lover I must say. Lobster was also serverd with both sides and not missing another half like other restaurans serve them. My ribs were also very good and tasty. Full rack means also full stomach but these were extremely good too.

Unfortunately we couldn´t do any desserts but perhaps another time.

Prices were extremely reasonable. Still we can´t believe price of lobster. Just 20 US (15 Euros) for one big lobster! Back home it costs about 40-50 US.
Here we will be back someday that is sure! Hit the break on highway and drive few miles. This is worth of it!
We travelled 5,500 mails to get there and we will do it again in future.
