We hadn't been to Dixie Crossroads for a few years and we forgot what we were missing. We both had the broiled rock shrimp and they tasted just as good as they did years ago and the fact that they came with those amazing corn fritters was an added bonus. Our waitress was very nice. We were seated quickly as we called ahead for priority seating. It is a distance from our home but we will sure make the effort again to go there and take our friends.

If you are anywhere in Florida on or near I-95, within 100 miles of Titusville, there is absolutely no excuse for not eating here. This is, hands down, the BEST tasting, BEST value, BEST service restaurant for the true seafood lover, from fritters to desert. There are very few places that offer rock shrimp which are baby lobsters. There is a quantity to please every patron. Everytime we go anywhere near, it is on our list "goin' down" and "comin home". We are 100 miles away and have driven down to spend the night and eat...it's that fabulous!!

We have visited this restaurant every year for the last 3 years before we have gone on a cruise... The food is always great, you receive overly large portions and the seafood is always great no matter what we have ordered! The corn fritters are so good and they keep bringing them to the table as you finish a basket! Worth the visit!

Whenever we go to Titusville, we always make it a point to go to Dixie Crossroads. Their Rock Shrimp are delicious. This time, however, there was a lobster special so my husband and I decided to try it. It was a big mistake. My husband said the lobster tasted like it had been in water a half a day, and the presentation was not great. Service, though very friendly, was slow. On the plus, the cole slaw and veggies were delicious.

Dear Julia,
Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your lobster dinner was not up to our standards. Providing each and every guest with a quality experience is something we take great pride in and for which our restaurant is known.
This time of year the lobsters are going through several growth stages and can sometimes not be perfect for serving. It's not something we can tell before they are opened.
Did you ask to speak to a manager? We would gladly have replaced your lobster with another one.
If you choose to return, please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to improve your dining experience.
Sincerely,
Dawna Thorstad

This is a quaint restaurant with a good selection of seafood. Many baskets and many fried options.

Every table will start out with FREE corn fritters. They really are free. They arrive at the table hot, delicious, and ready to be devoured. They were an excellent way to start the meal.

We ordered dynamite shrimp - a similar style to a Bonefish Grill Bang Bang Shrimp. It was just ok. The comparison to the Bang Bang shrimp made the dynamite shrimp inferior.

I came for the Rock Shrimp but made the mistake of ordering a rock shrimp combo. The combo came with "regular" shrimp and bay scallops. The scallops were well cooked and well prepared (and I am picky about my scallops). The regular shrimp I could pass on.

I cannot say enough good things about the rock shrimp. It tasted like lobster. I had them broiled and they cam butterflied in their shells. They have such a great, natural taste, there is no need to season or deep fry them. Enjoy. Had I known how rock-star delicious they would be, I might have gone and done the "all you can eat option". Even at $46, it would have been worth it.

Sides were nothing fantastic. Cole slaw was good, especially after a few shakes of salt. Cheese grits were average, but I'm not a good judge of grits or cheese grits. Tartar sauce was oddly sweet and not in a good way. The drawn butter satisfied all condiment needs.

Wine list is short, unimpressive, and a little overpriced. Beer is good and cold - stick with that.

Service is average. Servers are busy, not lazy, and that IS an important distinction.

Two person dinner came to appx $50 with tip. The food is good - just remember to enjoy the rock shrimp.

--Enjoy!
