The menu features the very best local shrimp and fish from Port Canaveral and ranges from low cost sandwiches and baskets to high end seafood combos. Themed rooms and an air conditioned gazebo with a bar can accommodate groups of all sizes. Kids (and adults) enjoy feeding the fish and turtles in the outside pond.

We visited Dixie Crossroads the evening before our cruise from Cape Canaveral. The restaurant was a recommendation from a local hotel employee. I had a pretty good feeling about the restaurant because the majority of the license plates in the parking lot were locals. The food was great the service a little slow but that was not a huge problem. I would recommend getting there a little early. We arrived Saturday evening at 5pm and when we left at 6pm the wait was over 45mins.

Dixie Crossroads was the high point of our visit to Kennedy Space Center. The rock shrimps live up to their reputation and simply rock!! The portions are plentiful, and the food is melt in the mouth delicious. We ordered BBQ ribs plate, scallops, rock shrimps, red shrimps and clam chowder. The ribs had a sauce that as unlike any I have tasted and were delicious, and the meat fell off the bones. The red shrimps are seasonal (Jan-June), and they were fresh and succulent. The scallops were a bit tough compared to the rest, but not bad. The corn fritters that were complimentary were delicious. The clam Chowder was full bodied and the texture was velvety. The cheese grits for a side were bit bland, the fries were good and we loved the service. Our server was a lovely lade called Jenny and she was very helpful with the menu. We changed orders (crab legs to ribs) and they were totally accommodating. A great eat.

Although I have heard a lot of people rave about the food my experience was that it was mediocre. I had the soup of the day which was a shrimp vegetable and I thought it was tasteless with very few shrimp that were the salad size. The lobster which was about $20 was small and served with a coconut tasting melted oleo. It ruined the taste for me. I thought it was overpriced for what you got.

Just enjoyed a lunch of "Royal Red" local shrimp. Broiled perfectly. Sweet and delicious. Florida shrimp is the best and this place knows how to cook them just right.

The service is efficient and friendly. We'll be back!

We ate here after a long day at the space centre. we had the crabby bites, clam chowder, coconut shrimp and heir special red shrimp. The quantities were generous and we enjoyed the complimentary corn fritters. Lots of carbs but a very enjoyable meal highly recommended.
