This is the beach of my youth and nothing has changed in 40 years. There are no condos, no houses, no restaurants...nothing but blue skies, turquoise ocean, green scrub habitat and sandy beaches. If you're looking to return to early 1900's Florida, this is the place to go. Pack a lunch, bring the sunscreen and enjoy nature!

Canaveral National Seashore is a public beach just north of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. As part of national park service, etc. there is an admission charge unless you have the senior pass.
There is parking and restrooms all along the land side of the dunes, but there are not any concessions. You have to bring everything in yourself. The extreme north end is a clothing optional beach, but the people who frequent that section just want to do their thing and will not bother you. If you don't want to see people in the nude do not use the last crossover, it is that simple. There are no life guards.

We went to the visitor's center, where the people were extremely helpful. Then we drove to the end of the park and the views, water, beach were spectacular. It was quiet, out of the way, and not crowded. Loved it!

This place is very beautiful and natural. I spent some time on the beach at parking lot #9 and it wasn't crowded at all. Very remote.....some big horseflies floating around that bite pretty hard though. Very pretty drive in from the ranger station.

I second what everyone else has said in their reviews. This is like a private beach. There is low traffic, lots of open space, plenty of seashells. My little girls loved this place. We went here multiple times so my husband could fish and my girls could play in the sand. Seems the fishing is pretty good since all the fishermen looked like they meant business ... but my husband didn't catch anything. You could walk and walk and walk and not get tired of the scenery here. Kudos to everyone who goes there - it was extremely clean as well.
