“Who can resist visiting an Enchanted Forest!?!?”
Reviewed January 2, 2011

After driving out to Kennedy Space Center a couple of times and passing the sign to the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary, I made my husband take a detour so we could get out and see what was so enchanting about this forest!

This is a county park that has few miles of trails with plants and animals to be seen. We happened to hit the center on the 3rd Sunday of the month which is the date for the children's program...crafts, education, hike, etc. Although we were not able to stay for the 2 hour program, the staff was super nice and friendly.

It is a nice low key, free attraction that gives you a real look at Florida's natural habitats.

“Nice but be careful”
Reviewed April 12, 2010

We live near the enchanted forest but had never been to it until yesterday when we took our out of town friends. We were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful, interesting, and beautiful it was. The walking trails are very nice and very educational. The animal footprints on the walkways are a nice touch and can be a lot of fun for the little ones. I wished that they had more labels to identify the different kinds of trees. Unfortunately, our pleasent experience was spoiled when we returned to our car and found the window smashed and the purse of my friend gone. Two other cars adjacent to ours were also broken into and we had to call the police and report the incident. The attendant at the office was very nice and stayed beyond the closing time (5 PM) and even offered us the use of a shop vac to clean up the car. The lesson learned if you go is not to leave any valuables in your car.

“the volunteer was nice.....”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

I was kinda disappointed with this, but it is a free attraction. small educational area & library, then out to the small garden area. There are several trails to walk. The big old tree and outdoor stage area was kinda neat.
