My wife, mother in-law and father in-law all had a wonderful 2-hour feast at Claim Jumper this past Sunday. The buffet was terrific. My favorite was the custom omelet bar, my omelet was perfect. Then there was carving station with turkey, ham and beef, tri-tip and chicken fajitas’ s, eggs benedict, French toast, waffles, 4 different pastas, including a great shrimp one, a custom sandwich station, chicken tenders, you name it that had it along with a full salad bar, tons of pastries, amazing cinnamon rolls. For $30 apiece we got our $$’s worth. Coffee was extra and good bloody mary's for $6. Everyone was happy and off we went to Bernardo Winery for Mother’s Day Craft Fair to try and walk a little of this off as the weather is clearing.

Spotty service was once the bane of this otherwise accomplished restaurant. Recent visits confirm a whole new approach and attitude. The manager visited our table twice. Server, Edna, was above and beyond. Great food, prepared and presented well.

This has become sort of a tradition. We were married on St. Patrick's Day and found the pub scenes a bit crowded and boisterous for a nice lunch or dinner. We have frequented Claim Jumper for many years so tried it for our anniversary lunches and it rocks.

The fish and chips is amazing. Four battered pieces of solid white fish cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and firm on the inside. Served with tartar sauce and ketchup along with a helping of their shoestring fries that are seasoned and crisp. We have traveled all over, including Ireland, and never found better fish and chips than here. That's saying something!

Great service by pleasant servers, just the right amount of attention and speed of service.

We all ordered different salads for lunch. It was fresh and very tasty. Had to ask for refills. Didn't order dessert but they did look wonderful.

We hadn't been to Claim Jumper for Happy Hour in a while and decided to stop in. We have always enjoyed Claim Jumper and looked forward to an enjoyable evening. When we arrived the harried waitress was rude when we asked about a booth that was yet to be cleaned, so we decided to sit at a table in another area. When we were finally waited on (and given menus) we commented on the changes to the Happy Hour offerings. The waitress said they had been bought out again and things were coming and going and changing on the menu. The service continued to be very slow and poor. Not really the fault of the waitress, there were only 2 servers for the huge room. As time progressed the two tables on either side of us vacated, and remained full of dirty dishes until we left. Won't be back anytime soon, too bad it used to be fun.
