“Bahia Belle Blast”
Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

My daughter and I stayed at the Bahia resort last week. We rode the Bahia Belle 3 times and ate with the seals every day! We had Juan many days and he was awesome!!! He was truly Number Juan! Juan and Lorena spent a couple of extra minutes on our last day to wish my daughter and I a good trip home and to encourage us to come back soon. This gave us a warm send off and really makes me want to return to Bahia soon! Thank you Bahia!!!!!

As the coordinator of a state conference for educational professionals in April of 2014, I was looking for someplace special to hold our event. It needed to be a place that would really showcase the So. Cal feeling and offer a little something for all of our members and their families. I found the perfect setting at the Bahia! Director of Sales Rebecca Baumwirt went above and beyond in inviting my planning team to hold a meeting and tour the venue in March. We were given an opportunity to experience the various rooms first hand,as well as the meeting areas, the fantastic views and wonderful food of the Bahia. We even stayed over night and enjoyed the harbor cruise on the beautiful Bahia Belle! Members of my team who went exploring on the Pacific Beach side of the bay said the Catamaran(sister of the Bahia) was extraordinary and the spa and guest area, "tropically serene". The staff throughout the resort was helpful and friendly and the atmosphere of relaxation and tropical getaway was felt by all of us. It was taking a mini-Hawaii trip. Thanks to Rebecca I was able to give a quality first hand report of the facility to the state board, and they agreed that we could not find a better venue for our conference! I can't wait for all of my colleagues to join me at the Bahia next year. I know that with a staff as friendly and attentive as Rebecca and the Bahia provides, and an atmosphere as relaxing and entertaining as the resort possesses, everyone attending this event will experience the best of what Southern California has to offer. Thank you Rebecca for going so far above and beyond for us, I can't wait to work with you and your team on this project and to celebrate a successful conference with you next April!

Room Tip: I had the good fortune to be in a suite whose sliding doors opened right on the bay. I would suggest...

This was about our 6th time to stay at the Bahia. It is located on the bay and a 2 minute walk to the ocean beaches (would be an even faster walk if no traffic light to wait on for crossing the one street inbetween). There is a variety of room types - we prefer a larger unit with kitchen to allow more space for our extended stays. This is a large property that allows views of garden settings or bay views. Large pool, but no additional slides or diving boards. Access to small sandy beach on calm bay. A super location for getting to SeaWorld! Lots of great paved paths available to walk or ride bikes (plenty of items available to rent if you don't bring your own) in the Mission Bay area. Plenty of restaurants and shops available within walking distance. Restaurant and bar both adequate.

Room Tip: Although we asked for a quiet room since we are childless and light sleepers, it wasn't to be...

The view is awsome. The staff is very nice. The facility and all the amenities were fabulous. The location was ideal for us. It is litterly 5 minutes from Sea World and walking distance from the beach at Mission Park. The private beach was very relaxing. My 10 year old loved the boat ride on the Bahia Belle. His favorite was the seal pool and everyday we were there to visit Gracie and Billy. The Bahia Resort Hotel was very nice and I would certainly reccomend stay here to anyone who will be visiting the San Diego area. My family and I are already planning our next trip to stay here.

While negotiating an agreement for a large group conference in 2014, we were given a thorough tour of the the Bahia Resort facilities by Rebecca Baumwirt, Director of Sales. Rebecca was aware of the goals of our professional organization and had insightful suggestions on how the resort could assist us towards a productive and fun conference, while remaining within our budget limitations. In finalizing details of our agreement, the Bahia has been supportive and accommodating. If Rebecca and her staff are illustrative of the professionalism and friendliness of the Bahia organization, then it should be smooth sailing as we prepare for our event.

We love this hotel. The kids love watching Sea Worlds fireworks from the room. The rooms are quite, clean and updated. It's on the water and there are a ton of activities close by. The pool area and restaurant is wonderful too.

This was the first time I stayed at the Bahia. We arrived and checked in and was informed that our room had been upgraded. It was an awesome room with a bay view. Room was clean. For an older San Diego hotel I think this was a great place. Location is so close to Mission and Pacific Beach. With perfect weather we enjoyed walking.
