“San Diego visit @ the Bahia”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

This was our first time visiting San Diego. We had a wonderful room at Bahia that was very clean, great view of the bay, and clean grounds. Everyone was friendly and helpful. If you want a beautiful, clean, quiet and friendly resort with very easy access to San Diego I would highly recommend Mission Bay and Bahia Resort.

We have been to the Bahia many times in the last 15 years. This was an anniversary trip for my wife and I. We were upgraded to a studio upon arrival without even asking. We had some hot water issues the next morning, but Ashley was phenomenal in getting us another room - te Presidential Suite (with a fireplace). It was a great stay for the 4 days. We will be back in the near future. Concierge services were very knowledgable on anything from where to go for Microbrews and rental car for the day.

Room Tip: Stay in the 600s - close to the front of the establishment and lobby.

All at the Hotel were very helpful! It is quiet, and the ducks came to our glass door every morning.
A young man at the info desk who directed us to a great Restaurant at Mission Beach called " WORLD FAMOUS", made our stay great! The food and the views are excellent!
The Mission Cafe and the Olive were good too. All on Mission BLVD. We did not have a car, so we took the Bus. A day ticket was 7$. It is worth it.

A great SPA is at the sister hotel the Catamaran, close to Beach.

Room Tip: We had a double queen room to the Bay. ( the renovated ones) Good views and quiet. In the summer...

We arrived late on Thursday the 24th of January. My sister and I on a mini vacation. It was rainy and cool, but coming from Maine/New Hampshire, we were fine with the weather. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Due to maintenance and lots of conferences we had to stay in room the first night and then move in the morning. No biggie, Our rooms were great, nice views and very clean. We really liked the breakfast buffet. We got great answers to all of our questions and very precise instructions on how to get to places like Old Town, Balboa Park and the Zoo by public transportation. The seals were neat to watch, even in the rain. The resort grounds were nicely kept and the flowers/plants/trees were all very pretty. We didn't try out the pool or hot tub, it was pretty rainy and we were busy sight seeing. I would definitely stay at the Bahia again.

Room Tip: rooms that face the bay offer a nice view

Great experience. Nicely renovated room that was very private. Beautiful views of the bay and close to beaches and restaurants. Everyone was very pleasant and willing to answer questions and help with travel arrangements. I would definitely stay at Bahia on my next trip to San Diego.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newly renovated rooms.

First, Allison at the front desk was a gem! I arrived directly from the airport way before normal check in time and she didn't blink in accomdating me. What a GREAT first impression. Thank you Allison!!!

Second, I couldn't help but notice that every employee I observed throughout my visit was happy, relaxed and professional. I was left with a strong impression that the Bahia is a wonderful place to work.

Lastly, our room service was spot on. Everything was perfect!

I am the Club Manager at a private club in the Seattle area and I left the Bahia with renewed enthusiasm and goals to improve customer/member service at my Club.

My hat is off to the Management of the Bahia Resort Hotel. Respectfully, Craig McCrone

Room Tip: Ask for a view room and pay the modest upgrade price. Worth every penny! To see the activity of the...

We stayed at the bahia resort again because we love it there. We always have great service, the location its amazing, we took our bikes and kayaks, my daughter likes the private beach with soft sand and a play area, u can ride the bikes on the boardwalk all the way to pacific beach. We like mission beach because there are no waves so its safer with a small child. We rode our bikes to seaworld everyday. We went for appetizers happy hour every night and we sat by the fire next to the tangier bar. We usually stay in a studio room because they are bigger and they have a full kitchen, so you can cook if u feel like it. We think that its a great value to a hotel on the beach with a private beach, great big rooms, clean, next to seaworld, no resort fee, free parking, and a heated pool, tennis courts, gym, kids arcade, kids play area, ect. We will definitely be going back, for sure
