My guess is that this is a really good Italian restaurant in San Diego. I live in another very big city and eat amazing Italian.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

After a hard day shopping, wanted to relax at last night in San Diego with great food. Wasn't sure where to go but came across this little gem of Italy on 5th avenue in gas lamp quarter. They have seating outside, so if cold ensure they put heaters on, or stay indoors. Menu was simple but had good variety. Chose deep fried spaghetti balls, fish cakes as starters, and sea food linguini and risotto for mains. Along with wine came to around $92 about £60. Portions were very very generous. The starters could have done as a main course!! Standard of food and service very good. I would certainly go back. A little tip however if having an evening meal do not sit right next to railing outside as we were bothered by several people begging for money. Whilst most were discrete and pleasant one chap would not leave us alone, until moved on by the waitress. So suggest sit further in. During lunchtimes it is not an issue.

We like to go to Chianti for spacial occasions! The food and the wine have always been good, we have tried many items on the menu from the sea food pasta to the chicken piccata and all have been good. On our last trip the waiter did mess up the order but fix all with no questions. We would recommend a table outside to get the real atmosphere of the Gaslamp quarter.

Went here on Saturday night. The wait was about 15 minutes. Food was just what we were looking for with pasta options and fish. I had linguine pescadoro and it was quite good. Bread and salad were also good. Great place for a nice dinner.
