My friend and I were sent here by Andrew at the Hilton around the corner for lunch. We brought him back some cookies because we loved it so much. The menu is not extensive but it is filled with interesting combinations. We started with the Charcuterie Plate, which was filled with delicious cheeses and house cured meats. The BLT featured pork bellies as the B portion and they were incredibly cooked which elevated the sandwich. The brisket sandwich was fantastic. meat was melt in your mouth good and the "stuff" made the sandwich special. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We went with another couple while in San Diego at a conference. The service was attentive, the atmosphere pleasant (though quiet on a Sunday night). We shared some starters and each had an entrée. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food. The menu, while limited, had some interesting choices such as a Duck Prosciutto & Persimmon Salad and a Goat Ragout
Rigatoni with broccoli leaves, ricotta, mint, and chili flakes that were both very good. There is a well laid-out rooftop bar where we finished with some after-dinner drinks around a fire.
We had a dinner for 15 people in the Aqua II room of the Hotel Solamar in San Diego. Angel, from Jsix Restaurant took care of all the details. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere perfect. Angel was very proactive before the meeting, offering pre-dinner options for our group. We had two extra people show up and Kelly, our server, quickly got them set up and took their order. The wine recommendations were perfect. I highly recommend Angel and his team at Jsix for any business dinners.
Also, I had brunch in Jsix on Sunday morning and the Eggs Benedict was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. Truly inspired.
Relaxing and nice breakfast here the morning of our departure. Good service and food was very fresh. Didn't like the strong stale odor of the restaurant when we popped in on our first night so did not eat dinner here. Odor was not noticeable in the morning.
