“The Royal Palms Tower rooms & hospitality suite are top of the line!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2011

In February 2010, we arranged a great price of $99 per room for a minimum of 10 rooms, including a hospitality suite, through Kristen Warnken for the LEAGUE OF EXCEPTIONAL GENTLEMEN (LEG) group to celebrate New Year's Eve. She also arrange free parking for our group which we appreciated. She then arranged for me to work with Sarah Ramirez to maintain an accurate count of everyone who booked a room(s). Both Kristen and Sarah were easy to work with, and very accommodating; it was a pleasure to work with them. In addition, Katherine Richardson also accommodated us by ensuring the hospitality suite was adequate. The hospitality suite was marvelous; it was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed to host a pre-New Year's Eve party for our group of 25. Everyone loved it. Everyone also loved their room which were also beautifully and tastefully decorated and, again, had everything you needed. They were quiet and very comfortable too. We all had a fantastic New Year's celebration there.

This hotel did not take my breath away, but it also didn't disappoint. I stayed her with several friends in a few different friends for a conference. I would not stay here outside of some special event. The room was average in the far tower. It was nice to have a balcony and convenient parking.

This property represents a peaceful oasis, in a sea of busy San Diego-n's. The property is beautifu with gardens well tended. Very very clean and well cared for even though the property is a bit older. I'll take this over any new high end place. Once here, I relaxed and could breathe. Truly a lovely place to land on a busy "island". Will be back again soon, for the third time. Rooms in the bungalows were homey and welcoming. Beds could be updated, but overall a sweet respite from the hustle and bustle. Also, great location to shop--walk over to Fashion Valley Mall with all it's high end stores.

I had heard unfortunate things about this hotel from a colleague and from other Trip Advisor reviews, so my expectations were pretty low. I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay as a result.

The grounds are beautiful and I enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch outside. My room was older, but it was very spacious (probably because I got an accessible room for some reason). The architecture was unique, rather than being a hotel that could have been plunked down in any city. The staff were helpful and funny.

The chintz-explosion decor was not to my tastes, the Internet was so slow I didn't even pay to use it for most of my trip, and the rooms could use more power outlets in better places, but overall, the hotel was comfortable and quiet, the staff was excellent, and I had a wonderful few days in San Diego as a result.

Tip: Walk over to the mall via the footbridge. From there you can catch public transport, watch a movie, have a meal, or just walk around and windowshop.

What a great place to stay! It's centrally located. The grounds are clean and beautiful. The rooms are well-appointed. The bed was just heaven. The staff went out of their way to please us. Breakfast the next morning in the restaurant hit the spot. Loved it!

My husband and I stayed at the Town and Country for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Our room was absolutely breath taking and it was so peaceful. We were able to relax and enjoy each others company. The manager Tisha Williams went out of her way to ensure we had the best experience possible. Her extra efforts and great customer service made for an even more memoriable anniversary weekend.
