Show lesswe booked for three nights and we paid for parking fees which is 15$ per night, to find our car next day hit from the side by a big ford truck who form his side denied and the manager, receptionist said we are not responsible for what happened and the cameras did not cover the place where we parked, our front bumper is total loss and they are not responsible!!totally unprofessional, we had to travel that's why we couldn't finish the police report. i am very disappointed but i have the truck's number and i will sue the hotel and the car owner! Shame on you Days Inn
We are very sorry for your experience. Like all businesses with parking lots, we are not responsible for damage which occurs unless we are the cause of the damage. In this case, you confronted another guest who you believe caused the damage, but they dispute your claim. Regardless, as a public service announcement, it is important (and a legal necessity) for everyone to have insurance coverage if they choose to drive a car, rented or otherwise. This unfortunate experience proves that point in a very painful way.
Best of luck to you in resolving your issue.
This hotel is about 1/2 mile from the Gaslamp District. The room was very clean, large in size, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is average - coffee, tea, juice, some fruit and bread-based items like bagels and toast. Would have liked to have had some real yogurt (they had GoGurts for kids). Note that the neighborhood is in a quieter area and the nearest food is several blocks away. It is hilly here, so not great if you aren't up for that. Ramiro at the front desk is very helpful and polite. All in all, a good value for the price and I would stay here again.
Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough review. We at Days Inn San Diego Downtown/Convention Center appreciate that you have many options when you travel, and we are gratified that you enjoyed your stay.
We hope to see you again the next time you visit San Diego.

It was our pleasure to serve you at Days Inn San Diego Downtown/Convention Center. Petco Park is an easy 15 minute walk, and there are many other San Diego landmarks close by, such as Balboa Park, Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, Seaport Village, USS Midway, and many others.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
