We had a room in the 400 building and had no problems with mold or cleanliness as others have mentioned. Chris at the front desk was very nice. We had the room to relax package and the free breakfast was great. Would stay here again.More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. The staff takes great pride in providing great service and we look forward to having you stay with us again!.
Cob webs in the corners, mold above the shower AND MULTIPLE DIFFERENT TYPES OF "HAIRS" found in my son's supposedly clean, freshly made bed, tops the list of reasons why you should seek accommodations elsewhere. (I have photos of all) My employer sought a hotel on the internet for our one night stay in SD for a two day project we were on, and found this "place" rated at 3 and 1/2 stars. That rating normally ensures a reasonably clean, safe, problem free stay for our technicians while working out of town, but not in this case. Top it all off with a 1 hour wait in the lobby while we tried to figure out how to give them a credit card, that I did not have available, to charge their "mandatory", un-waivable, $100.00 charge for incidentals. My employer offered to give them a credit card number over the phone, which they refused to take without having a signed credit card authorization letter on file. Being that it was 9:00 pm and my employer not having a fax machine at home (it's at the office where it should be) we SAT in the lobby for an hour until my son offered them $50.00 cash out of own pocket (which was never mentioned by the STONE FACED, unconcerned staff at the reception desk) as a possible alternative, we were finally granted access to the stellar accommodations I described at the beginning of this epic. After reporting the Hair In The "Clean" Bed we were given a better room and the excuse that the hair came from the "maid" in the performance of her duties, yeah right. Try using a hair net next time sister, and while you're at it, try changing the sheets instead of just re-making the bed after the room is vacated by the previous patrons.
The better days are long past. It looks like it was once a nice resort but now it is old, run down, not maintained, not cleaned. Suspect the owners are milking it for what they can until they can sell it for a profit and move on. The hotel version of slumlords. Front desk people were helpful and did what they could but the place is basically a dump. Stay somewhere else.
We stayed here for a SDSU VS Boise State game. This was the hotel was so dirty and rooms were like super old, not updated studio apts. Walls were dirty, bathroom did not look like bleach has been used. I was very disappointed.
Not a resort.. Not even motel standards!
Breakfast was mentioned in my itenary.. When I called to confirm the front desk was so rude.. I understand if there was a confusion but why so rude? Felt like they just don't care about customer satisfaction.. Wifi doesn't work at all.. I couldn't chi my mails even.. Google doesn't open.. Couldn't check in online for my flight..
Talking about flight, they don't call for taxi to airport.. When we asked the front desk replied they'll leave a note but there is no guarantee! Since wifi doesn't work.. We called a taxi from a pamphlet for local call.. That too charged..
There are so many hotels around the area which must make them competitive but they don't care.. Please don't fall for the resort name..
Also no creamer in room. Bathroom stinks and it is quite cramped. Pillows were flat. Tv channels was poor quality.
Fitness centre was locked and looked so deserted like we were nearing a ghost mansion.
I now stay down here every time I come in the area for work, and it is by far the best for the money. I have stayed in many different hotel/motels especially in North County but this location is awesome with the 8 freeway on ramp/off ramp across the street. When I start my day i can get a greak breakfast at the restaurant and when i am done with work it is so nice to be able to just walk to the Valley Kitchen and get a great meal. By far the best part is the service, especially Ayza E. at the front desk who was very helpful with all of my questions. highly recommend!
