Parking is posted $50.00 per day for registered guests but I was charged double. Sunday pool time is awkward, unsanitary and unavailable as their are infant swim lessons with the instructor glaring at you if you try to swim, and infants in diapers coming in and out, every 20 minutes on Sundays. Sonif you don’t mind the poo pool and don’t splash you could try to take a dip.

Downtown
Downtown San Diego Embassy Suites is right across the street from the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. A lot of places to visit and eat at. Very nice view of the bay and all the ships day or night it looks impressive.

Great location!!!
This hotel has a fantastic location. Close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. The Bayview room in which we stayed in, had a gorgeous view of the water. We used LYFT our entire trip and this location was easy to drop off/pickup from.

Great location. Large rooms. Nice staff
This hotel is in a great location to be able to walk everywhere. The rooms are large and clean with all amenities available. Valet parking is a bit steep at $50 per night . There is a good breakfast buffet on offer every morning and evening reception is offered but does get extremely busy and you may have to queue.. Pool and hot tub is good. I would recommend this hotel for its location and value for money.

Always a perfect Family Hotel but this one lacks a few things.
We know its in Downtown proper but the parking is so expensive. No self parking only Valet. It takes a while to drive out due to narrow driveway. Lack of staff specially in the front counter. Very long wait time during check in. The rest of the services are the usual Embassy Suite service.

Try Calling to see if you get through
I stayed recently. Had great hopes but was disappointed.

I checked in online to a 12th floor room. I like high. This is the top floor. I realized that it was across from the elevator which I typically don’t like. I tried calling the hotel at least twice. Rang off the hook both times. I sent an online message questioning if the room would be noisy. Never got a response.

Called three times the next day. The first two, phone rang off the hook again. Third time was during a brief connection between flights. The person I spoke with was less than engaged and not wanting to be helpful but did tell me that I had been moved to a lower floor. I was not pleased but she really didn’t seem to care. Very un-customer centric. When I questioned about options, she told me there were none, but on asking again, she asked me with attitude when I would be in and when she found out that it would be 4 to 5 hours later, she offered a room on the 11th floor.

I wish the hotel had responded to my inquiry. It turns out that the suites are set up with a living area first, then a door and the bedroom, so there was no way hallway noise would be an issue. That’s all they needed to tell me.

I had a water view balcony king room. It was dated as to decor but I understand that they are updating them. That is good as they need it. The room was, however, clean and everything was in good condition. The balcony was very nice and allowed for plenty of fresh air. I liked the room set up. The water view was also nice. Two sides of the hotel have them. There is a building going up as some reviews note and I was on that side but I don’t see the building blocking views. Nice views of the USS Midway.

They must be short staffed as to checkin staff. I read a review about them being short staffed. That’s the only reason I can think that they would not answer the phone and have staff that is ambivalent.

I found the location to be great. Close to the airport which was key as I got in late. They directed me to some places down the street where I could get a late night bite to eat and drink.

I found breakfast to be up to Embassy Suites standard. They were busy but things flowed well and the food was tasty. I was satisfied with that.

Not sure I would go back but maybe if they upgrade rooms and ....... answer their phone. That would be my bell weather test.
