The staff, particularly Rocky and Diane, were very pleasant and helpful during our 3 week stay in January 2012. Rooms were nicely maintained by the cleaning staff. Though close to the Interstate, there was little noise. One area needing improvement was the food & beverages for the complimentary breakfast. Cooked items weren't kept warm and the coffee was pretty bad...however it was complimentary.

Room Tip: Don't select first floor unless you have a need to not use stairs...has a below ground type of feel and upstairs neighbors were noisy at one point, though the staff called them on our behalf.

All the employees at this Quality Inn were extremely friendly and helpful to my family and me. I stayed at this same hotel the only other time I was in San Diego. It is easy to get to and close to MCAS Miramar. I will definitely stay the next visit to San Diego.

Great little hotel - clean rooms! Rocky made the stay worth it all - gave us a plethora of info on what to do in San Diego. He printed maps & even came around the desk to give us specifics on how to get to places, where to park, etc. He even retrieved me a beverage after the soda machine decided to "eat" my dollar! SUPERB customer service!!!

The room and bed and ambiance were very nice and comfortable. The mattress was new and very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the complementary breakfast which was 4 stars itself. The price was very modest. Free Wi-fi in the room too. Across the street is a big Holiday Inn.

Room Tip: Choose a non-smoking room and tell the staff your needs --

I was referred to this property by Priceline.com. Excellent location. Just off the I-15. Carl's Jr. directly in front. Ihop across the street. Subway and other fast food a mere two blocks away. Plus the property offers a small continental breakfast. It's not a full breakfast or buffet. You won't be full. But it's still a nice perk serving bagels, fruit, cereal, waffles, orange juice and coffee.

The room appeared to be clean. However, there was a very noticeable musky odor present. In addition to the odor, the appearance of the carpet was poor....Heavily stained. But, those smaller issues aside, the room offered several nice amenities such as satellite TV with a large assortment of channels. Microwave. Refrigerator. And a nice big desk to spread out and get work done. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very courteous and accommodating.

The largest deterrent to a comfortable stay there was the noise factor. You can readily hear movement from other guests in the form of creaking floors with each step..... In addition,..... other guests' conversations, music, TVs were all audible throughout the entire night.

Would I stay there again? Perhaps. But, it wouldn't be my first choice.....

Hi Mr. Jay Ram,

We sincerely apologize about your dissatisfaction with our breakfast, however most customers do enjoy it thoroughly. Our complimentary breakfast menu includes: bacon, sausage, eggs, assorted danishes, assorted muffins, assorted bagels, assorted bread, make your own waffles, oatmeal, orange juice, apple juice, fruit loops, corn flakes, raisin bran, and two types of yogurt. We also offer assorted teas and coffees. We definitely go above and beyond Choice Hotels requirement for the complimentary breakfast.

However, we thank you for your compliments to our staff. They are indeed very courteous and accommodating. I would like you to be aware that we are installing 40 inch LCD TVs in each of the rooms with over 150 HD channels. As far as noise complaints, we again, apologize about that. If a guest would bring that to our attention, we will definitely go to great lengths to manage that situation.

The location is indeed great and the food options nearby are awesome. We hope you give us another chance and stay with us in the future.
