We stayed here because it was less expensive than the places closer to the main attractions. It was fine and had a breakfast with the usual waffles, pastries, etc. Our problem was the accessibility of the rooms. My elderly father uses a walker and the first room we were assigned had an 8" step up at the threshold. We were changed to a room on the second floor which had a level entry. In looking around at the other room entries, I noticed most of them had a large step. This hotel is built on a sloping property. Instead of leveling the property when they built it (many years ago), they sloped the walkways and entryways. There were unexpected (an unmarked) slopes in the walkways, even on the higher floors. Not good for disabled people!

BW Mission Bay Does it Again!

Can't improve perfection! Thank you Cesar and Joanne! Just like the last time we were here they always go above and beyond to serve clients and ensure everyone is well served and well fed. Joanne was especially accommodating for us and made check in and out a breeze (not to mention she knows how to handle a barrage of questions). Cesar ensured food was fresh, plenty, and the place was clean, even in the rush of breakfast traffic. Thank you again! Staying here has always been a pleasure.

Never Again

Last minute reservation, place was more expensive than a BW Plus location. Parking is atrocious and rooms should better attended to when it comes to repairs and cleanliness. I was appalled to see the location besring the name Best Western.

Convenient location/ Friendly Staff

The location is very convenient at a reasonable price. The freeway is very close. The staff, front desk, housekeepers, breakfast staff and maintenance crew are all very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, but theirs no place like home. We will stay here again as we have family in the Navy stationed in San Diego.

Great

Really enjoyed that breakfast. They always had a delicious option and a large variety available. The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby! Best location I have stayed at so far. Will be staying here on my next visit.

Not Great - will not stay at this BW ever again!

Room smelled bad. My eyes burned and got red from the smell. Carpet is dark colored to hide the filth. We walked barefoot on the carpet with clean feet and then when we got in the shower, our feet left black footprints! Our room, as well as many other guests' rooms were not ready at 3:00 check-in. We had to wait and were treated rudely by a young man working behind the desk. Very unprofessional. Hotel was noisy. Walkways on the upper floors are very uneven and hazardous. Breakfast was good but the room is very small and many guests had no where to sit. Pool was in the center of the complex and noisy until 10:30 or later. Ice machine on our floor was out of service. Toilets are "wonky" with cheap plastic seats. Fan comes on loud when the bathroom light is turned on, which wakes others up in the room during the night. So many things - will not be back to this one, that's for sure!
