We spent two nights at this Courtyard and it is pretty typical of all Courtyards. The location is near highways and Interstates and has some nice views of the California topography. The hotel was fairly clean although the rooms, especially the carpeting and bathrooms are quite dated. I didn't care a bit for the toilet which has some black stain in the bottom which at first I though might be a leftover which it wasn't, but still not good. The room was nice with good televisions which we didn't use but still important to many. Room size was nice and as with most Courtyards, had a separate bedroom which is nice when traveling with my wife. Of course after staying at regular Marriott hotels which charge big time for parking, here it was abundant and free.
The Bistro is about the exact same, with the same menu as all Courtyards. Prices for breakfast are all $10 or less. My "morning scramble" which i usually order was good but maybe offer bottles of ketchup as opposed to the little McDonalds type packages. I would have liked free coffee in the lobby but whatever. What did bother me was that the Bistro didn't have coffee until after 6:30AM which for early risers like myself is tough.
The free Internet wifi is perfect with fast, easy connections and few drops. Since I am the holdout with a flip phone, I rely on my iPad for Internet and free Internet tops the list of features for me. Using my wife's iPhone in other hotels is a pain. We hardly ever use pools, spas, workout rooms and such but they are here for you if you like.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about this particular Courtyard is the staff. I will pay my highest compliment to Emily who works in the Bistro. Her smile and friendly attitude is exactly the type of person I would want working for me. While the other employees were all friendly and professional, Emily added that extra smile that makes your day start well.
Suggestions include putting a trash can outside and maybe a couple of benches outside in the front. Redo the tubs, they are getting old looking.
Finally, I read the reviews by customers at every hotel I stay at and the fact that the hotel manager adds feedback to comments is very impressive and shows a high level of caring.
