“Questionalble staff charachter”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Be careful of the hotel staff! Especially the afternoon people. My wife and I didn't have a car so we relied on public transportation, which was fine, and the hotel shuttle which is where the trouble is. On each of our last 2 nights after calling for the shuttle, being put on hold and never returned too, calling repeatedly and told times the shuttle would be there to pick us up and then it never arrived we wound up taking cabs back to the hotel. This would have been fine if they would have just said that in the beginning but for some reason they preferred to make excuses and lie, very frustrating.
Also on needing a cab back to the airport at the end of our stay we were told they had "2 people they used" and would arrange it. Turns out it was a private van, possibly a friend or family member of someone on the staff, not in very good shape, the driver had to use a screwdriver to open the side door, to take us back. He charged us $5 more than a cab would have been.
The hotel itself wasn't bad but after instances like this and a couple other things it brings into question the honesty of some of the people working there.

The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable and the price was right. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel has easy access to San Diego's attractions and the airport although you would need a car to reach them as well as stores and restaurants. Definitely will return.

okay the hotel was very nice, pool was nice, room was nice and clean...very happy with that. Breakfast was wonderful and free. Coffee in lobby as well as in your room..close to everything. Okay the bad news for me was how LOUD it was..room seems paper thin, that or we had 3 elephants upstairs from us. I would stay here again, but I would only stay on the top floor.

Room Tip: we had a standard room with living room..gave us a sofa and two tv..great when you have kids who lik...

I must say I did not expect to be in such a remote location with absolutely no convince stores or access to any food other than the hunter steak house next door( which I might say the worst service I've ever had in my life!!) they do offer breakfast here which is sufficient but pretty repetitive and low quality. I must say thou dillan the shuttle driver was most accommodating , extremely helpful and went out of his way daily to make sure we were all good! Angelica at front desk was also very helpful... Always smiling and extremely personable .

Our stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites Zoo/Sea World Area was fantastic! The rooms are very clean and spacious. The front desk service is cheerful and extremely helpful. What I also liked is that you can pick up their complimentary shuttle to many of the local attractions. The location of this hotel is perfect, not on the main road, so it is very quiet. I chose this blindly and would highly recommend to anyone interested in visiting the area. Our stay was for five nights and we were sorry to leave. There is no question that I would stay there again, it was much better than I could have hoped for considering the price!

Room Tip: I would ask for a room facing away from the pool if you do not want to hear the noise from the child...

The property was more than I expected. Room was clean, internet was fast and breakfast was good. The couch was worn out, but they are in the process of replacing all of them on property. I was amused to notice that the furnishings (lamps, desk, sink, shower head) were EXACTLY the same ones used in the Double Tree at hotel circle which goes for almost twice the nightly rate. The location is a bit strange, but once you get how the freeway on/off works, it's not bad. $9 a night for parking is not included in the rate, but almost all of the hotels in the area charge for nightly parking.

Room Tip: One wing faces a very busy freeway, but I just turned the AC unit's fan on and it blocks the noi...
