“Not what was promised”

We needed to book a hotel for the night before our cruise departed and wanted a hotel that offered complimentary transportation to the cruise terminal. A number of hotels, including the BW Seven Seas, were listed on a "cruise friendly" website as offering complimentary transportation to the cruise terminal. I then called the BW Seven Seas and was assured that they offered this complimentary service. Based on this information we booked a room. Upon checking Into the hotel today we were informed that this "complimentary" service would cost $10.00 each. A manager was not available to talk to and front desk personnel just kept saying "sorry."

Dear Traveler,

Thank you so much for your comments. We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion you encountered on your most recent stay with us. We are a cruise friendly property, but a guest has to book the Park and Cruise Package which includes parking for up to 14 days as well transportation to and from the terminal. Unless the Park and Cruise Package is purchased, it is our policy to charge $10 for cruise ship terminal. Once again we apologize for any confusion and hope that you rethink staying with us for your future needs in San Diego.

Kind Regards,

After we had a terrible experience with a local B&B we had to scramble and find a new place to stay. We found this Best Western and we're so thankful that we did! The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. We arrived early in the morning and the lady at check-in let us store our refrigerated items for the day even though we couldn't check in until 3pm. She didn't have to do that but that type of service is what makes this a great hotel. The one and only drawback for us was that there weren't any queen rooms available, but that's understandable since we ended up here at the last minute. Stayed 5 nights, the pool and hot tubs were great and so were all the staff.

Green Features: Maids kept the place clean without destroying the environment.

I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great too. Overall I was very impressed with this hotel, based on the price.

I stayed here in early April while waiting for my golf buddies. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The on site restaurant had good selection and the food I ordered was good but a bit pricey. The grounds were well kept with flora and fauna. The pool area was nice with a workout area and a outdoor hot tub. The property had visible overnight security. The only gripe I had was the upfront $75 charge even though I prepaid through Hotwire. I would gladly stay here again.

Room Tip: Airport shuttle is free.

We stayed there one night during a weekend trip to San Diego. The room was clean, the beds were reasonably comfortable, but the faucet in the bathroom was difficult to shut off, and the TV reception was very grainy. Had we planned a multi-day stay, we would have addressed the issues with management, but since we only had one evening, we let it slide.

I've stayed @ BW Seven Seas previously and since I now live in the area, stop by occasionally for a bite to eat or a beverage. The room accommodations are very nice and comfortable. The restaurant and bar staff are very friendly and accommodating. My only issue is the smell in the ladies room in the hall between the dining area and the bar. I've been told it's the same in the men's room. I have experienced this every time I have stopped by.

We arrived in San Diego by car late in the evening with a reservation at another, lesser hotel across the street. The next morning our first priority was to find a different place and the Seven Seas was right across the street so we checked it out. The rate was about the same but the rooms were much nicer and there was a pool and a restaurant. If you're looking visiting Sea World or waiting for a flight to Mexico (like we were) Seven Seas is a great place to stay!

Room Tip: On the extreme east end of Hotel Circle South, just before the road loops under I-8.
