We chose this hotel for it’s location near Old Town as much as for the great price. We have no complaints. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. We weren’t looking for an elegant suite and this room was just what you’d expect for a mid-range lodging. Our room didn’t have a great view but we weren’t looking for that either. It did have plenty of space for luggage and moving around to get ready to be somewhere other than a hotel room. The hotel is built on a hillside; our room was in the building just next to the lobby so was easy to get to, but I don’t think any of the rooms or facilities are difficult to reach. I walked from our room to the pool without difficulty and I was recovering from foot surgery. The pool was very nice with a hot tub and it did have a view. We had the AAA discount which included breakfast. To be noted, on Sundays there are 2 breakfasts, one for the Sunday Brunch crowd and another for the free hotel breakfast. Not a huge deal and other days there’s no restriction. The selections were good, standard scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage/bacon and pastries along with more Mexican/American choices and cereals. We’ve had a lot of hotel breakfasts and this was a good one. The lobby is even very comfortable, we visited with some local friends sitting on the couches and chairs, enjoying the holiday decorations. The hotel is in the OldTown area and the heart of it with shopping, restaurants and music is only a couple blocks away. I had no problem with the stroll. Also the tram is right down the street. All in: comfortable, clean room-nice restaurant, pretty pool, lovely grounds and a great location.More
