I really really like this place. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and it has a much more family feel. I've stayed there twice and can't wait to go back. I also love the area of shelter island. The breakfast is much better then the chain hotels and I also appreciate the happy hour with chips and salsa. The salsa is great also.

Room Tip: If you enjoy boats, make sure you face the marina.

I've been going to Bay Club for at least 10 years now on my business trips to San Diego. I've always enjoyed the comfort and "vacation like" feel of this hotel. Definitely a nice change of pace from the "chain hotels". If you are looking for a nice clean room, with a good restaurant and a view of the bay....look no further.

I will say that the one thing that slipped a little was the breakfast buffet. Before it was a serve yourself deal with a good variety. Now the variety seems limited and they carefully portion out what they think you need to fill your belly. Just tell them "Add another scoop please!" The morning breakfast crew doesn't seem as customer friendly as in years past either....there was an awesome bald hispanic dude (younger guy, 20's) that really seemed to keep the morning crew together. Bring him back Bay Club! Front desk staff always exceptional.

Plan a night in the summer when a good band is playing next door at Humphrey's....you can dine outside at the Bay Club patio and listen to some top notch concerts free!

Room Tip: never really had a 'bad' room, they all were good for me.

Have stayed here on many occasions for business and never disappointed. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and quiet. They offer free buffet breakfast that satisfies light, healthy eaters to hearty eaters so everyone in my large group was well fed and ready to begin working early each day. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, great selections and beautiful view of the marina. Great location on the marina where I could see sting rays down below and the occasional seal. Nice, safe area to walk at the end of a long day to unwind.

Honestly I would defiantly stay there again. Everything was great from the bed, to the room, breakfast and staff. Loved that it was a bit away from the downtown area and gave it a very nice feel and a mini getaway from everything.

The hotel was a nice little distance from downtown and all the noise. The view was awesome. We were right across the marina, we got to view an aircraft carrier heading out to sea from the comforts of our patio. Had some AC issues in the room, but they were fixed pretty easily by the maintenance department. Overall we were very satisfied!!!
