A friend took me here for dinner one night. I'd never been. Our regular sushi joint was packed and he had been here before and loved it. Needless to say, this is our new regular sushi joint.
What I like:
The staff. Our server, Tracy, was fantastic. She was attentive, fast and could answer any question about the menu (drinks or food) we had.
The food is delicious! They really put emphasis on sustainable fish, which is a nice thing to see. AS a result you won't see traditional items like hamachi, but instead other suitable replacements. I was skeptical at first, but I found the menu just opened me up to new things, and I learned something in the process. Win-win! (check the picture - hopefully you can read what it says about sustainability)
The restaurant has a hip vibe to it. It's not a traditional sushi joint by any means. Its a nice local style flair restaurant that really works well.
What I didn't like.
Not much. Parking can be a pain. Make a reservation (although 25-30% of their tables are for walk in only), come open minded.
