We had our largest attendance we have ever had for our Annual Convention and what a great place to have it at. Our Event Coordinator was amazing (Alisa) as was the entire staff. You guys really do ROCK! Thank you for making our convention a success.

My girlfriend and I bought a special via TravelZoo. For $89, we had our choice of massage or facial with "extras". As part of the deal, we had access to the Hotel Spa facilities for the day, which sounds awesome. We arrived at about 11am for a 2pm massage. We decided to hit the pool. The pool area is very small and the services was horrendous. We ordered an appetizer of humus and pita bread which was good, but when we asked staff to save the food while we stepped away for about FIVE minutes - they took our food. I asked the waitress and the bartender to save the 'covered up humus'. They threw it out. My girlfriend then ordered a sandwich that never arrived.
We left hungry at 1:30 for our 2pm massage. The massage itself was wonderful. Next comes the shower. There were only 2 showers, we tried to use both. Each was shooting hot water out at a minimum of 100 degrees F with no way to turn down the heat. We ended up rinsing our hair out in the sink. The spa area is very small, not what we expected at all.
I should add that the "extras" covered our valet parking and we were given a bag with a small lotion in it for our departure "gift". They forgot my hair treatment, so I was given that in a bag to do myself at home.
Extremely disappointed and will not go back again. We paid $89 for the "deal" and had another $140 due at our departure. They automatically add 20% tip and I purchased an add-on for reflexology. The massage and reflexology on their own were great. The facilities and bar/pool staff were horrible.

We're extremely sorry that your Spa Day did not meet your expectations. We are working with our spa director to find out exactly why your hair treatment was skipped, as well as the manager up at the pool to find out why there was such a problem with the service. Your experience is not acceptable to us and we will work with all of the crew members associated with your stay to ensure this doesn't happen again. We truly do thank you for taking the time to share and hope you will give us another opportunity to properly pamper you.

Room was really fun with a separate sitting area and bed area. Need to be aware that the bathroom is not well insulated or sealed so if you have guests in the room or are not traveling with a close companion it may be uncomfortable. Also, from the bed, I could see people sitting on the deck of a room on the next floor as the building angled out.

It is in a great location at the lower end of the Gaslamp.

Thanks for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have some different room types that would address some of your concerns regarding privacy and our agents should be happy to work with you on that upon check in next time.

I satyed there during a conference in San Diego. Walking distance to the conference center and walking distance to every place you want to be in San Diego at night. The atmosphere and the ambiance at the hotel are over the top. I've enjoyed every single minute spent there...

Everything about the hotel was expensive but it was classy. The room was very well maintained and the location was amazing. Very close to the airport and the Gaslamp District is within walking distance. The clubs were very slow, even on a weekend night.

My wife and I stayed at theHard Rock in San Diego , Is location is superb for all entertainment and in the Heart of the Gaslamp Area.
We had a warm welcome and explained that as it was Sunday that there was a pool party but only went on until 7pm. Our room overlooked the party and although the music was loud a,s you would expect we enjoyed watching and joining in from our small balcony. We woudl have joind in but was not prepared to go to queue and pay the extra. The party stopped on 7 and the crowds disperssed.
We did have a complaint .We went out the following evening and returned to our room after dinner and a few drinks, we were woken at 3am by a spontanious party below our room which was loud and noisey and unacceptable to allowed to carry on by security. after 1 and half hours and 4 phone calls to security. they did move the crowd on .
We complained on departure and as the hotel was prepaid they could not do anything apart from discount my internet charge(which I dont believ 4star & above hotels should charge).
We thought the hotel. service were great. We expect a party hotel at rteh HRH but the noise at 3am was a big letdown for us.

Room Tip: Away from the pool on a sunday if you want quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're very grateful that you chose the Hard Rock on your recent trip to San Diego and are thrilled that our team delivered great service throughout your stay. That said, you are completely justified in raising concerns about unacceptable noise levels you experienced in the early morning hours, especially on a week day. It should never take 1.5 hours and multiple phone calls to deal with noise. We will be addressing this issue in our next security meeting to determine why this happened and will do everything we can to make sure this doesn't happen again. We hope to see you again soon.
