“Beer and Tater Tots.”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Cold and tired and hungry. After a long day of walking around the SD Zoo then taking the bus/trolley, we found the Pacific Beach Ale House. I had a honey brown ale, a green eggs and ham burger and tater tots. Yep, tater tots! The burger was so good. Pest was the green, a fried egg on top of the beef patty and thinly sliced prosciutto on top of that. Tater tots on the side, a ton of them! Very good place to eat and unwind.

“PB Ale House - Great Burgers!”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

I love hamburgers and PB Ale House didn't disappoint! Flavorful, juicy, and cooked to order (when you order rare, they're almost always overdone, but not here!).

Fries were great.

This is a sports bar and there were a number of TVs with a good selection of sports channels. Music wasn't too loud, which is nice when you want to talk and eat!

Several people in the restaurant with young children. They fit right in. The boisterous groups were kept upstairs.

Good value. Good food. Good service.

“Great Beer and Food”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Tried their tasting flight and all the beers were good. I think my favorite was the pale ale. For food we had the AleHouse salad, rattlesnake flat bread, and lobster mac & cheese. Everything was very good, but the lobster mac seemed way overpriced at $15 for an appetizer. If we are in the area again, we would consider stopping by again.

Always great beer - try all of theirs, you are bound to love more than one! Food is also very good - can't say I have a favorite dish yet.
