“Fun fun fun in the California Sun!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

We went here because the weather was overcast, and we needed a couple of tequila shots after the horrible meal we just had at Starkey's BBQ. We had a great time watching the people tackle the wave ride, and enjoy the hospitality of the bartenders and servers who were friendly, and very efficient. This is an awesome place to watch the Sun disappear into the the Pacific Ocean, and get a bit twisted.

“Great for almost all ages!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

This place was a lot of fun. They have a small and large flowriders that basically replicate a constant ocean wave. Even though the wife and I aren't physically able to take part in these types of activities we still had a blast just watching all surfers, boogie boarders and even body surfers try their skills at this attraction. The riders ranged in age from pre-teens to grown adults. On top of that this is an unbeatable location adjacent to the bike path in the heart of Mission beach. Best people watching spot in all of San Diego! We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food but the drinks are a little expensive averaging around $10 a drink. Parking can get a little tough as well even though there are parking lots don't expect to just pull up at in the early afternoon an find a quick spot as its a very popular area. A great afternoon enjoying the sun and beach scene in San Diego recommended for just about anyone!

“What a neat place!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

We dropped in to have lunch and watch people ride the waves at the Wave House. We actually received great service, quite speedy and the food was decent. My only issue was the prices were a bit high ($13 for a hamburger with no fries?) but the ambiance was fun. My son enjoyed watching it and maybe next time we'll see if we can get him in there to ride a few waves!

“Great for young adults/teens”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I visited the wave house with my two sons, ages 14 and 10 and my husband. They really enjoyed trying the smaller of the two waves. I did not try the wave surfing, but I did enjoy some icecream and alcoholic drinks at the bar. Be prepared...it's expensive to drink here. $10 per fruity drink (pina colada, daquiri).
Set right outside of Bellmont Park and has an awesome view of the ocean. Have fun!
