I was in S Diego for the AACR meeting this April, and I decided to stay in this cool neighbor instead of the fancy hotel in downtown. Ann is great, breakfast so good, location excellent!!! I will definitely come back!

Business Travelers love our location, and it's convenience to meetings at the Convention Center. Over the years, we have hosted lots, and lots of guests looking to stay somewhere different than their Boss, and Co-Workers also attend the conference....did I say that??? Cheers, Ann ;)

My wife and I stayed at Hillcrest for our 24th wedding anniversary. We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, but had heard many stories. Hillcrest is a wonderful place to stay. It is immaculate and the owner, Ann, "goes the extra mile" to make your stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast is not your typical "eggs and potatoes", but it is very good and healthy, definitely starts your day off well. Ann knows all of the best places to visit/eat at in the area, and several restaurants are within walking distance. Also, you are just minutes away from major attractions such as Petco Park, Gaslamp District, Seaport Village, and the world famous San Diego Zoo! We will definitely stay at Hillcrest again.

Over the years, we have had many "Hotel Converts" Demystifying Bed & Breakfast Travel has finally caught on to the 20-35yr old traveler. One visit here at Hillcrest House, and we promise to make more "Believers" out of YOU !! Thanks for taking a chance on us, and hope to see you back soon !!! Cheers, Ann

The only thing wrong with our visit was that we could only stay for one night!

The property was impeccable and perfectly located for access to great restaurants, downtown, and Balboa Park. Our room (the Coronado) was quaint and comfortable, and Ann a fabulous host.

The Coronado Room although not very large is very popular because of the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and kitchenette. A favorite for couples celebrating a special occassion! Thanks for the awesome review! Cheers, Ann

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hillcrest House as a part of our break from winter in NY. The accommodations were clean and inviting. Breakfasts were simple but ample with good variety. The rooms aren't huge but the charm of the house and neighborhood makes it a good value. Lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The owner was very helpful with suggesting places to eat and visit. With just a bit of ambition you can even walk to Balboa Park.

Value is the key to our success. Included is not only breakfast every day, but off street parking, wifi, bottled waters, 24hr beverages, and snacks. Hotels in general add all those amenities to your bill at the end of your stay, at a premium $$$$. Thank you so much for posting a review, I hope to see you back soon! Ann

We stayed with Ann earlier this month. With her local knowledge, cartogrophy skills in drawing lovely basic maps, and enthusiasm for the city, this is a MUST place to stay if you want to get the most out of a visit to this lovely and varied city. Her restaurant recommendations are first class, and the places to see are well within a comfortable drive. The B&B is friendly, homely, and inviting. Don't stay in a hotel, go to this place and get to the heart of it, the location is ideal for all major attractions. This is the place to go in San Diego
