“A Place of Peace and Reflection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

This is one of my favorite places to visit in San Diego. It's not your typical tourist destination. Thousands of white crosses on a windswept hill overlooking the ocean--it's very moving, especially at sunset.

“Beautiful Vistas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

This is a gorgeous cemetery and shouldn't be missed if in the area. Unfortunately the Cabrillo national monument was closed due to the government shut-down - shame on the gvmnt! Driving on both sides of the cemetery was the next best way to see the harbor and ocean. The symmetry of the graves is awe inspiring.

“So peaceful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Go for the view, it's astounding, can see right down onto the sub base below. Sunset is the time to be up there. The cemetery is beautiful.

“A great drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Do the drive through La Jolla, Pacific Beach and then down through Ocean Beach through this cemetery - on the way to the Point Loma lighthouse. So much history here in this short area

“Looks a lot like Arlington”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We had our picnic lunch with the dead in this beautiful place on top of a hill overlooking the water and San Diego. There's no activity but it's a nice place to visit. I wondered how many people are interred there. It's on both sides of the road and very large.
