Our organization has 4000-5000 attendees/year. The SD CC was a bit large for our meeting - things were very spread out, with a lot of required walking, The Marriott and Hyatt are close enough but other hotels are a ways off and require crossing train tracks (I had to wait to cross nearly every time I went across the tracks). Great views from the deck facing the Bay. The chairs inside the CC were very uncomfortable (many commented on this). Not thrilled about going back - many other choices that are more affordable.

Tis convention hall is clean, logically laid out and well-situated across from the historic Gaslamp district. Public transit is right across the street. Though San Diego is a hike from the East Coast, it is a good destination once you get there. Staff are friendly and helpful. Major downside: the chairs in the meeting rooms are about as comfortable as church pews. SItting an hour lecture is painful!

The best place in town where you can go around and have good food around. Clean and safe to walk. My husband and I go there on weekends just to walk around sea port village.
