We started with the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the wines and offered some recommendations based on our preferences. She also brought a couple of wines for us to try. I had the filet and my boyfriend had the New York Strip. The steaks were cooked to perfection---just as we'd ordered them. I also ordered a baked potato to go with the steak. We finished with the vanilla bean creme brulee. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. We sat outside where we could people watch, which was interesting seeing as how it was the weekend before Halloween. We did walk inside the restaurant just to check it out. There were some great paintings of famous people, many of whom were originally from San Diego. This would be a great atmosphere for a romantic meal.
