What a gem of a boutique hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and out-going. They were always willing to guide you to the best restaurant, call a cab, or just chat over the complimentary happy hour with h'ors d'oeuvres held in the evenings in the lobby The Inn is in the process of being updated from the previous owners. The bed that I slept on has to be the most comfortable I've ever laid upon.
Not to be missed too is the delicious continental breakfast in the morning. The coffee is delightfully strong and ready to get your day going, and the pastries are fresh and locally made. I cannot say enough about this Inn. Whenever I return to San Diego, I'll definitely be staying at the Little Italy Inn.
The Inn is also within easy walking distance to wonderful shops, restaurants, and bars in the Little Italy area. It's also within walking distance to the trolley to get you downtown in a snap.
There is one minor drawback, this is the location to the airport, and the 5. It's quite convenient to the highway and the airport but light sleepers may not appreciate it in the morning. Mind you, I had no problems with sleeping over night, as I found it to be quite quiet.More
