“impressive”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We spent over 4 hrs on the U S S Midway. You need good walking shoes, it is massive and lots of stairs, but well worth it. they had veteran army pilots giving talks which was very interesting to hear first hand the experiences they had on board. I had a better appreciation of our men in service after spending time on board this impressive ship.

“Take a Walk Through History”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

I just loved this museum! The friendliness of retired personnel greeting you as you walk the aircraft carrier is priceless! To see the entire ship and listen to the tour will take a good 3 hours. I was humbled to walk the same ship as so many of our heroes and stand on a piece of iconic history! I do suggest that you bring snacks as the food and snacks can be very costly. I would love go back again and hit areas I know I missed. Loved it!!!!

“Amazing”

Did not have a lot of time but was well worth the price for what we did see. You could easily spend a day there. Lots of very good displays with many staff to explain them. Fantastic.

“A walk through History”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

The Midway should be a must for anyone visiting San Diego. The veterans manning the displays are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We spent four hours on the ship and could have stayed longer. After the tour you started to appreciate what the men and women serving on this ship had to endure when at see for long periods of time. The planning required to keep this enormous vessel supplied while at see is mind boggling.
