Owner description: Located in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway (Museum) was America’s longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Today, the interactive museum is an unforgettable adventure for the entire family as guests walk in the footsteps of the 225,000 young men who served on Midway. Visitors explore a floating city at sea, the amazing flight deck and its 29 restored aircraft, flight simulators, and are inspired in the Battle of Midway Theater, included with admission. Admission also includes a self-guided audio tour narrated by Midway sailors in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French and German. Visiting Midway is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in San Diego, known around the world as "Navy Town, USA."

Great museum with docents who have been there as sailors and even landed on themselves. There are a huge number of planes in immaculate conditions and there are many small exhibitions.

We enjoyed the self guided tour and the various types of planes on display. There were volunteers who were very helpful in answering questions and giving history talks about the various planes and weapons.

I served in the Army for over six years and during that time I can honestly say I had never seen anything so impressive as this ship. It's like staying on a small island. Never knew it had so many stories to it. Anyway you couldn't possibly be disappointed with this tour! Stop by and spend some time going back in history. We loved it!

The tour around the ship is quite extensive and the museaum gives a (good) impression how life is on such an enormous ship. In that respect the museum is impressive. But it also is hot and humid downstairs, and in that respect the tour is a little too much.
Personally I'm not very interested in weaponry.

We found the midway to be a fun and well worth the time experience. The Cafe and exhibits were very educational.
