“Fun place and good food”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

We enjoyed a fun lunch here. We started with some very good guacamole. There was enough to feed 4 but since there were only two of us we just ate it all. After the appetizer my wife had ground beef tacos and enjoyed them. I wanted the fish tacos but could not decide on fried or grilled. Our waitress helped by offering to give me one of each. I liked them both but the fried was a little better....not a surprise. Good beer selections and several TV's in the bar. Fun place with good service and food.

“Terrible food, over priced”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

I visited here for lunch as I love lobster and thought that, given the location, it would have great seafood.

Wrong wrong wrong.

Everything on the menu is fried and covered in a ridiculous amount of cheese and sauce. I ordered the seafood enchiladas because I wanted lobster but all the other lobster mains were massive and over priced (and should be shared I imagine). They turned up almost cold, flavourless, beige and bland. There was about 3 tiny pieces of lobster in the two enchiladas combined and about 4 shrimps. Covered in so much sauce I could barely see the food underneath. I had asked for a garden salad on the side and got some lettuce covered in, yep, loads of creamy sauce and cheese. Nothing else. Just lettuce. And cheese sauce. Sensing a theme here..

And the price of this bland cold cheese fest? $18!

The service was ok as with anywhere in the US and the outside seating area was nice enough (other than the dead baby bird under my table...).

If you want fresh fish/seafood or traditional Mexican food don't go here. Actually, if you want warm food or identifiable food, don't go here.

“Fun atmosphere and great food”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

We were staying nearby at a hotel and were looking for somewhere casual to eat. We had just spent 2 weeks in Cabo so we didn't really seek out Mexican food but this place just seemed fun and a good place for a cold beer. Funky, casual atmosphere. We split mixed plate fajitas and they were delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Loved the help-yourself chips and extensive salsa bar. The place was packed on a Tuesday night with all ages.

“Best Guacamole in town”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We were in San Diego on a beautiful mark day. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the best guacamole we had curing our trip! The fresh salsa bar was an added pleasure. Their chips were awesome. We highly recommend a visit to Rockin Baja Lobster!

“A fantastic restaurant”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

The food and atmosphere here is terrific. The fishpool size cocktails are sublime and there was a musician playing on the Saturday night we attended. A great restaurant that we would go back to again.
