Description: For over 30 years, one of San Diego's landmark dining destinations and one of the most unique and memorable restaurants you will ever find. Located inside a replica of a World War I French farmhouse decorated with fascinating military memorabilia, antiques, and aviation relics, the restaurant overlooks Montgomery Field Airport, and has a cozy and romantic ambiance, with large stone fireplaces intimate booths, and beautiful views. The extensive menu features mid-western aged beef and the freshest seafood. Here you will find USDA Choice & Prime Beef steaks, slow-roasted Angus prime rib, succulent lobster tail, fresh fish, rack of lamb, veal, chicken, pasta dishes, and fabulous desserts. Their famous Champagne Brunch is currently the #1 Sunday Brunch in the city on AOL's CityGuide poll and is not to be missed. Beautiful outdoor patios, a very popular Happy Hour, and excellent banquet facilities help make the 94th Aero Squadron one of the great dining experiences in all of San Diego.

“Father's Day Celebration”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We had a reservation and got in right away. Since we went on Saturday, we got the Early Bird Special which I highly recommend. What a great deal! The food was very good. Portions were just right. We had my two year old granddaughter with us. They had a nice children's menu. It was a very enjoyable dinner.

“Fun place for lunch if you love being near airplanes”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

I've visited a couple of these restaurants in California (a chain I imagine) but have found the one in San Diego the best. The food, service and ambiance are at the top of my charts. We avoid the brunch buffet because it is a little pricy and way too much food.

“Good food Great for lunch and Happy Hour”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Went to 94th Aero Squadron to day for lunch. My wife and I both had the Buffet which was very good. They had Meatloaf, Chicken Marcela, Fish Vera Cruz, carver Beef and Ham. Along with tons of salads and sides. Would have given them a 5 star rating but the service was just so so. We had the extra bonus of a $10 off on 2 lunch coupon they emailed me because we are a member of their eclub. So once a year they send us a coupon for 10 off 2 lunches or 20 on 2 dinners. Great place to just hang out also like an old WW1 air Base them. I have also been to the one in Van Nuys, CA. Both have great happy hours with free food and cheap drinks.

“Early Brunch Option”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

The food is extensive and good. There is even an early bird discount. My husband particularly likes to listen to traffic control at the airport connected at the booths.

“Good food and interesting decor”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We went there for the first time on Mother's Day with our mobility-limited mother. Didn't realize the buffet would be the only choice that day (40.00/person). The food was great but the crowds were so insane that it was difficult to get to many of the dishes without waiting 10 minutes or more (including to get a plate). The layout of the buffet was such that the crowds prevented my mom from being able to select her own food as we were extremely nervous about her being knocked off balance and falling (she walks with a cane and is recovering from hip surgery). The other weird thing is that it was a VERY hot day, yet when we walked in, the fireplace was blazing and on the outside patio fire pits were lit. The waiter, however, cheerfully shut off the fire pit closest to us while we dined so we would be less overheated, which we really appreciated.

The old war planes and other military memorabilia were great to see all around us. We will go back one more time on an off- day when it's not such a zoo there, to see if we can sample something from the regular meal menu. The great tasting food was enough to convince us not to give up on the place just yet, although for those with mobility issues the stairs are numerous and difficult to navigate. We would definitely not recommend this place on a holiday like Mother's or Father's Day...just too busy to really make it a truly enjoyable experience.
